How boring boring so boring is Bonamassa, for gods sake.. His songs seem to be just an excuse for blues guitar wanking.
Rate is a solid "1"
So glad we have a expert on wanking here..hope your wrist is ok after listening to this.

Ashton was wearing "pull-ups" when this cover shot was taken. Super song!
|U2 - Magnificent|
(May 08, 2009 - 10:12)
|Decent album, But does not come close to one like "The Joshua tree". Seems like most bands that get filthy rich and famous lose their creative and cutting edge. Poor/new/struggling artists somehow seem to put out the the best music during that time in their careers. Interesting.|
|The Who - Who Are You|
(May 08, 2009 - 09:24)

|Bought this album in the last week. Best "listen through" album since "dark side of the moon". Love how riff elements progress through entire album. You will love it if you have the patience to quietly listen all the way through. Sadly, i feel most people are not capable of doing this. Channelsurfidis seems to rule in todays world. |

This likeable tune was among the kind of songs that were the staple of FM alternative rock radio stations until Clear Channell bulldozed those stations out of existence and paved them over with giant piles of concrete dreck. Hearing this tune reminds me of the time America had freedom and quality on the radio back in the day.
Exactly, Clear Channel was/is the worst thing that ever happened to music in the in the United States since the 1700's.

|The Stone Roses - Waterfall|
(Mar 12, 2007 - 17:11)

|R.E.M. - Electrolite|

That's because the people who love them are stupid.
You verbally joust like a 9 year old.
|James Gang - Funk #49|
(Feb 25, 2007 - 08:18)
|Now this is a real classic, historically important... Sounds as great today, actually better on cd. |
|Al Green - Love and Happiness|
(Feb 24, 2007 - 19:02)
It's a parody of 70s music, right? The boom shakalaka, electric organ wipes, horns, backup singers--it's like John Travolta remade Saturday Night Fever, only as a comedy this time.
An absolutely sad and pathetic personality we are dealing w/ here.
I feel so sorry for him. Living w/ a cold heart is horrible and he probably doesnt even know it.
|Marvin Gaye - Got To Give It Up|

|These stars/musicians/artists collided at this space in time to create some of the best music in history.|
|U2 - Mysterious Ways|
(Feb 20, 2007 - 17:15)
|One of the most powerful bass tracks in modern music.
Best seen/heard live when Bono trysts w/ a beautiful belly dancer live on stage. I loved the experience.
|R.E.M. - We Walk|
(Feb 20, 2007 - 16:13)
|REM at their best...IRS time for them was magic.
|Steely Dan - Aja|
(Feb 19, 2007 - 15:46)
|Another band that evokes such passion, the jazz influences, the heavy handed hooks, what can I say but they are unique. On a desert island this is a must. I give it a 12.
Face it some people are not wired well to take unique music. Pabulum works best for the masses.

|Herbie Hancock - Cantaloupe Island|
(Feb 05, 2007 - 17:01)
|This is a jazz masterpiece, it embodies cool, smooth, and all the jazz

Wish music was more integrated today.
|Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds - Two Step (alternate version)|
(Feb 04, 2007 - 18:10)
Man, all these Dave-bashers really are getting irksome. Yes, we know it's cool and hip to bash Dave. Get over yourselves. If you knew anything about music, you'd know how much the DMB has influenced music over the last 10 years, how the musicians in the DMB are some of the best in their fields, and how good a song-writer Dave is.
the scene at his concerts over the last few years may have gotten annoying, but that does not detract from the band's music, nor his writing. And yes, he has a unique sounding voice.
Some people live to be critical antagonists, being negative makes some feel good/powerful/smart...I pity them.

Rumor is they will tour this year...It will be the biggest reunion ever!
|R.E.M. - Drive|
(Jan 29, 2007 - 17:01)
|What a polarising group REM is...such love/hate in the RP listeners.
I feel sorry for the haters...I dislike some music myself but I don't comment negatively about it to the people who love it - I respect their love of music that I may not "get or understand". I have found that I cannot expect this of others though. Some like to stick knives in others backs.
|The Clash - Rock the Casbah|
(Jan 27, 2007 - 08:34)
|An Iconic song from a groundbreaking band. Met and partied with these guys a few times in the early 80's, nice British lads. |
|Morphine - Whisper|
(Jan 27, 2007 - 08:30)
|The bass and Sax here are awesome...kinda gives me that feeling
of walking down a deserted street in NYC at 3AM. Cool!
|Nitin Sawhney - Mausam|
(Jan 27, 2007 - 08:18)
|This is very beautiful...the indian influence adds a mystical feel.
|Seal - Crazy|

|One of Seal's best tunes. Great hooks from vocals and and keyboards. |
|Jeff Beck - Goodbye Pork Pie Hat|
(Jan 24, 2007 - 17:11)
|One of highest moments of any guitar player dead or alive.
Cannot be appreciated unless you pay full attention to the song...
Judge it from the background you will not understand or be blazed.
|Peter Gabriel - Love To Be Loved|
(Jan 24, 2007 - 17:08)
|Genius exposed...If he would ever reunite w/ Genesis.
The pope will sell condoms before this probably happens.
|Neil Young - Sugar Mountain|
(Jan 24, 2007 - 15:56)
|Absolutely wonderful song...this is why he is iconic, his ability to ballad, folk, rock, and metal is unmatched.Saw him jam w/Sonic Youth one night - friggin amazing.|
|The Police - Bring On The Night|
(Jan 24, 2007 - 15:48)
|Great song from one of the best 3 piece bands ever.
They my reunite this yr for their 30th...at least rumors are flying without the band denying.
|Van Morrison - Little Village|
(Jan 23, 2007 - 17:58)
|Iconic artist with one of the most individual voices...great arrangement here.
Van's the Man!
|Peter Gabriel - In Your Eyes (live in Athens 1988)|
(Jan 23, 2007 - 17:32)
I'm noticing a trend here:
Someone criticizes the artist (Gabe, Bush, etc) and the response isn't related to the music at all - but an insult to the poster.
Shame on you. If you want to justify why you like the tune, that's cool. But to simply attack the poster is so...Republican.
Hurt/Sick/Sad people stoop to personal attacks...don't feel angry at them, feel sorry.
|The Who - Join Together|
(Jan 23, 2007 - 17:09)
Where's the rating for "it's OK, but a song you can hear every hour on any classic rock station is hardly eclectic"?
PsycoGenus listens to "classic rock" stations so he can fume negativity alone...interesting way to "get off" if you ask me.
|Little Feat - Willin'|
(Jan 23, 2007 - 17:06)
Is that cover art subconsciously or ironically sexist?
You tell us PsycoGenus.
|U2 - Lemon|
(Jan 22, 2007 - 17:22)
|Arty and nice...Adams bass is whaaaaaa!|
|Pearl Jam - Black|
(Jan 22, 2007 - 16:46)
|This is one of the Jam's best...Eddie give's 100pct here.
The end sounds best at the volume setting right before you blow your speakers.
|R.E.M. - Driver 8|
(Jan 22, 2007 - 16:38)
Thanks! I had a crush on MS back then,
kinda felt duped when it became obvious he was gay. weird. long time ago.
Because he is gay and you consider MS weird you no longer like REM? Sounds like you got your feelings hurt...and you have tuned into the "prejudice channel"
|Arcade Fire - Une Année Sans Lumiere|
(Jan 19, 2007 - 16:26)
pity the narrow minded, they are doomed to be forever trapped in their stressful and angst filled lives attempting to strike out at as many as they can

|Simon & Garfunkel - Mrs. Robinson|
(Jan 19, 2007 - 15:54)
|One of the best tunes ever recorded...when it was top of the charts
EVERY station Am/Fledgling FM played this tune every 3hrs..
Alien's are now hearing this at planets 30 light yrs away.
Awesome at the least.
|Nirvana - The Man Who Sold The World|
(Jan 16, 2007 - 16:34)
|Great song from a troubled artist. Most great songs are from troubled, poor, new artists...this is when feelings are raw. The first couple of albums are normally the best. Love/angst comes from here...when most artists get rich$ their work normally suffers - there are exceptions though. Wish Kurt was still around.|
|Elton John - Madman Across The Water|
(Jan 16, 2007 - 16:19)
People who tell Elton John he's a great artist will have much to answer for before Saint Peter.
Words from a fool, or someone with a lot of internal demons.
|Allman Brothers - Dreams|
(Jan 16, 2007 - 16:16)
WOW, makes me want to go roll up a dobbie and kill some braincells so I get so dumb I think this crap is good.
His name is his fame....58% of his ratings are #1. I feel so sorry for people who live in complete negativity, focus on goodness and beauty and you will exude both.
|Radiohead - Street Spirit (Fade Out)|
(Jan 12, 2007 - 15:29)

|The Connells - '74-'75|
(Jan 11, 2007 - 17:32)
|Grew up 100 km from these guys (Raleigh NC,USA)...Wonderful live band, every member a "class act gentleman", never made it "real" big,
toured and loved worldwide, and still play a gig here and now again
locally. Quality sincere music. They have many GREAT albums..
just never got airplay.
|John Hiatt - Your Dad Did|

|R.E.M. - Losing My Religion|
(Jan 03, 2007 - 16:26)

|moron...Greek word meaning "foolish" and used to describe a person with a genetically determined mental age between 8 and 12 on the Binet scale.|
|U2 - New Year's Day|
(Jan 01, 2007 - 10:40)
I was faster than my filter :)
The playlist was late, so I recognized it on the first two tones, which was enough to hit mute.
I still wonder where one defines "zero information"
Evene posts that just agree with one of both sides with just "me too" or "I don't" have information value.
I feel so pitty for all of you poor people that are brainwashed to think U2 songs are actually good to listen to. I won't hold you from it. I just thorroughly enjoy the new stuff I hear here, like "Butch Baldassari Trio" (Super stuff) and "Outback", both of which I never heard before.
I went to an Irish pub in Birmingham, and they had no problem in selecting the Dubliners over U2 :)
Those were great meals!

|Rolling Stones - Monkey Man|
(Dec 27, 2006 - 09:06)
|This is one of my Fav Stones tunes.
This was the best band fronted as the Rolling Stones, Mick T and Nicky rounded out this phase. This group was most the musically skilled the Stones ever had. I love Ronnie but he cannot hold a candle to Mick T, and Nicky was a little tighter than Chuck.

|Youngbloods - Get Together|
(Dec 24, 2006 - 11:47)
Ain't been no peace in the world since about 1912 or so. Since then there's been a war raging somewhere or another. If you check, you'll find that today there are somewhere around 30 nations actively at war with each other. This figure varies a bit, but not much, from year to year.
sorry you were not there...it was wonderful!
|Chris Isaak - Solitary Man|
(Dec 24, 2006 - 11:37)
|May be flippantly passed off as just another cover. But damn he hit it out of the park neverless. Bam!|
|The Who - Magic Bus|
(Dec 24, 2006 - 11:32)
|In my top 10 of all songs. When it came out my friends greeted each other with the phrase "magic bus" in the same vocal inflection pete has. It ment many things to us then and now.
|Little Feat - Willin'|
(Dec 24, 2006 - 09:54)
This is one of the finest songs ever written. Period. Here's to Lowell
|Rolling Stones - Time Waits For No One|

He took Little Richard to a new universe. An easy 11!
|Van Morrison - And It Stoned Me|
(Dec 23, 2006 - 16:31)
|I loved it when I heard Robbie Robertson scream "Vans' the Man"
after Van performed live one night.. Sweet memory!
|Grateful Dead - Ripple|
(Dec 23, 2006 - 16:26)
|Old farts like me do the "dead dance" now. My teenage son said you were probably more stoned than Snoop Dog when you heard them do this. I smiled.|

|I wish Frank Black would replace Paul Shaffer on the Letterman show.|
|Pink Floyd - Sheep|
(Dec 21, 2006 - 15:30)
|This is complex music, most intellectuals I know dig this.
The changes and transitions are welcome to listeners that also love classical music... I have found. How can someone judge this as "stoner" music if they are not a "stoner"? PsycoGenus? In his comments he's indisputable .Probably hates 90% of the people he knows also. I wonder how many love him?
|Bryan Ferry - Cruel|

|Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade Of Pale|
(Dec 19, 2006 - 17:00)

Some people are driven by hate, some relish in negative commentary. I dislike some things myself - I keep that to myself, negative thoughts hurt my quality of life.
|Jack Johnson - Better Together|
(Dec 16, 2006 - 14:58)
|Odd that an artist can be popular today with a happy positive outlook reflected in their music. Hate, angst, and negative thought in music rules today. Most listeners today have soo much pessamism and negativity in their personalities they live to skewer artists like
Jack. Keep up the good work Jack...some of us understand your purpose!
|Wilco - Muzzle of Bees|
(Dec 16, 2006 - 14:42)

(Dec 16, 2006 - 10:16)

|Kate Bush - This Woman's Work|
(Dec 15, 2006 - 17:26)

You do it first, then someone else does it pretty. -Picasso
|Patty Griffin - Tony|
(Dec 15, 2006 - 16:30)
Just because YOU cry doesn't make it good music. It certainly isn't intrinsic to human nature to weap along with you. However, I'm pretty sure I'd cry too if I had to sit through a whole performance of this crap.
All of your song comments are negative. We need people that only see the dead trees in the forest.
