Waldeck - Midsummer Night Blues
(May 13, 2009 - 10:07)
Techno-funk version of Billie Holiday.  So-so.

Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees
(Dec 10, 2008 - 13:53)
I really, really dislike this band's music.  It's puzzling.  I don't think it's a generational thing (I'm 43).  I like plenty of other post-80s music and new bands.  To me, Radiohead's music is marginally better than Zamfir's and inferior to Slim Whitman's.

Joan Osborne - Cathedrals
(Nov 29, 2008 - 14:02)
Surprisingly bad; this is like Amy Grant, but worse. A solid 2.

Jim Carroll Band - People Who Died
(Sep 18, 2008 - 23:14)
Mindlessly repetitious and very dated.  For a minute I thought I was hearing something from the Rocky Horror soundtrack.  A solid 3.

Radiohead - Nude
(Aug 16, 2008 - 22:16)
Yuck. I just changed the song rating from a 2 to a 1.

Kirsty MacColl - Libertango
(Jun 15, 2008 - 01:52)
I find this adaptation of Piazzolla's music every bit as good as Grace Jones' version-more classic, less spooky.
Radiohead - Jigsaw Falling Into Place
(Apr 10, 2008 - 13:15)
This is by far the best Radiohead song I've ever heard. A solid 4.
Cake - I Will Survive
(Apr 08, 2008 - 08:08)
I'd give this one a zero if it were possible.
Radiohead - All I Need
(Mar 22, 2008 - 14:20)
Still sucks. And now overplayed.
Solomon Burke - None Of Us Are Free
(Mar 22, 2008 - 14:07)
This is the real deal. 10.
Radiohead - All I Need
(Mar 18, 2008 - 21:18)
A solid 1. And yes, I was born prior to the 1970s. Does this mean that my musical tastes were formed before extremely crappy music became normalized? Probably.
Radiohead - House Of Cards
(Mar 17, 2008 - 10:24)
A solid 2.
The Police - The Bed's Too Big Without You
(Mar 06, 2008 - 10:26)
I saw the Police in '82 and I can vouch for the fact that their live show wasn't that good. Even back then, Sting came off like an arrogant twerp. Black Uhuru opened for them and they were better.
Peter Tosh - Johnny B. Goode
(Mar 06, 2008 - 10:13)
I'm a big fan of Tosh and I'm not feeling this at all. Not every experiment is successful.
Radiohead - Nude
(Feb 28, 2008 - 15:10)
A solid 2.
Sarah McLachlan - Possession
(Feb 05, 2008 - 12:07)
I'm really surprised at the high average rating for this song; I gave it a very generous 4. Am I missing something?
The Band - The Weight (With The Staples)
(Jan 09, 2008 - 14:20)
This is the shiznit. RP should play more music by The Band.
K.D. Lang - Hallelujah
(Nov 27, 2007 - 10:34)

This sucks because it reminds me of all the other crappy versions of this song, especially Rufus Wainwright's.

Totally. This song has been irredeemably played out and rendered completely lame by all of the wack versions out there.
Quicksilver Messenger Service - Gold And Silver
(Nov 05, 2007 - 09:56)
This is awesome old-school psychedelic hippie rock. How can someone not like it?
Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
(Nov 04, 2007 - 11:44)
Enervating, tiresome and overplayed. Blech.
Steely Dan - My Old School
(Oct 30, 2007 - 02:48)
This run is the shiznit: Steely Dan -> Beatles-> Paolo Conte-> Air. Awesome!
Ben Harper - Gather 'Round The Stone
(Aug 22, 2007 - 01:16)
This is getting sadistic; Ben Harper is the absolute pits!
Joan Osborne - Crazy Baby
(Aug 22, 2007 - 00:24)
Good musicians, lousy singer.
Coldplay + Buena Vista Social Club - Clocks
(Aug 14, 2007 - 11:28)
I think Coldplay is lame, but I like this.
Leo Kottke & Mike Gordon - Oh Well
(Aug 04, 2007 - 01:10)
This song is lame and is also overplayed.
Lily Allen - LDN
(Aug 03, 2007 - 13:07)
I saw this chick on SNL; she can barely sing. Does this mean RP is going to put Ashlee Simpson in the rotation?
Ben Harper - Gather 'Round The Stone
(Aug 03, 2007 - 12:13)
Is this song overplayed or do I just notice it more because I dislike it so? This guy's music is wack.
k.d. lang - Save Me
(May 07, 2007 - 14:29)
Audio equivalent of Nytol.
Pete Yorn - Strange Condition
(Apr 23, 2007 - 15:54)
I don't like saying this, but this song is really lame-whiny and overlong.
Cold War Kids - We Used To Vacation
(Mar 17, 2007 - 10:09)
This song is wack and overplayed.
Engineers - Waved On
(Mar 07, 2007 - 13:15)
This song really bites.
Minnie Driver - Wire
(Feb 28, 2007 - 13:10)
I actually wouldn't mind seeing her sing "Stand By Your Man" in her current incarnation, not as Irina. I saw her in a coffee shop in Soho a while back; she can drive me wherever she wants.
Jesse Colin Young - Grey Day
(Feb 16, 2007 - 08:00)
It was the Youngbloods, which was actually a Sixties band: "Come on people now, smile on your brother. Everybody get together, try to love one another right now." Sound familiar?
Little Barrie - Love You
(Feb 14, 2007 - 13:36)
Catchy tune.
Sigur Rós - Untitled Track 8
(Feb 14, 2007 - 13:06)
Dear God, make it stop.
