Jackson Browne - Late For The Sky
(Apr 18, 2013 - 11:42)
I grew up with JB. Can't say why but I still love his music.

Greg Brown - Real Good Friend
(Apr 17, 2013 - 11:09)
Never heard of him but I like. Yet another RP win.

Fleetwood Mac - Hypnotized
(Dec 13, 2012 - 14:06)
This one needs the volume up all the way. Love it!

Arcade Fire - Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)
(Oct 24, 2012 - 14:20)
Yuk. Time to lower my rating.

Santana - Soul Sacrifice
(Oct 17, 2012 - 11:08)
One of the all time great bands of the 60's and beyond. So what if they had some commercial work, we all have to eat. For those newbees out there, take a closer look at the album cover.

Triggerfinger - I Follow Rivers
(Oct 08, 2012 - 17:26)
How can this not be Ray LaMontagne!?

Jesse Cook - Cancion Triste
(Oct 08, 2012 - 14:44)
Guess I have to buy this now.

Elbow - High Ideals
(Oct 04, 2012 - 14:20)
PLEASE reduce this in the rotation! It's played way way too often.

Art Of Noise - Peter Gunn
(Oct 03, 2012 - 11:15)
Anyone recognize that riff from the original Star Trek series?

Bobtown - Don't Fear The Reaper
(Sep 24, 2012 - 15:17)
UGH. Save me. Maybe if I had never heard the original this wouldn't be so bad. Too late.

Elbow - Mirrorball
(Aug 27, 2012 - 16:33)
ARG!!  Does this need to be on the top of the rotation? I'd like it better if I didn't hear it so often.

Boz Scaggs - Loan Me A Dime
(May 14, 2012 - 15:58)
The live version is great too because you get the energy of a live performance. In fact that whole live album is great, I bought it for this song and love it all.

Etta James - Dreamer
(Apr 25, 2012 - 14:02)
Love it!

Radiohead - Separator
(Feb 08, 2012 - 15:47)
Wake me up...

Younger Brother - Train
(Dec 16, 2011 - 13:01)
Hey I just heard this yesterday! It's a good song, let's not beat it to death.

Mavericks - Dance the Night Away
(Oct 13, 2011 - 11:50)
Yea! Mavericks!! This is fun music but it does take a little effort to get into the groove. At first listen, it may strike you as odd music. But listen a few more times and let your body go!

This album is good but Music For All Occasions is probably their defining work. I've seen them twice and really had fun each time because it's a high energy show and I enjoy Raul's voice.

AfroCubism - Al Vaivén de Mi Carreta
(Oct 13, 2011 - 10:16)
For real?  I think the singing is the best part. Cool voice and style.

Younger Brother - Train
(Oct 05, 2011 - 17:01)
Sounds like it was produced by Alan Parsons

The Decemberists - Rise To Me
(Oct 05, 2011 - 13:42)
I'm not a big fan but like this song. Sounds very Neil Youngish.

The Idan Raichel Project - Mai Nahar (River Waters)
(Oct 04, 2011 - 15:26)
Very nice. I bought the album after hearing it on RP, it's all good. Of course you have to have an open mind to accept something different (which we all don't seem to have...)

Ane Brun - One
(Sep 28, 2011 - 11:48)
Weird

G-Love - Ma Mere
(Sep 21, 2011 - 10:26)
Thought this was JJ Cale!

Faithless - Reverence
(Sep 15, 2011 - 15:17)
OK, after hearing it again I went from 1 to 2. The second half of the song isn't so bad.

Belly - Slow Dog
(Sep 09, 2011 - 16:26)
Ugh. Very POPish. Does have a catchy beat but I can live without that today.

Led Zeppelin - Thank You
(Aug 31, 2011 - 14:45)
Bill - how about we get to hear the entire album sometime, or maybe just one "side" for us old farts.

Eric Bibb - Don't Ever Let Nobody Drag Your Spirit Down
(Aug 15, 2011 - 12:43)
I like this music. Never heard of him.

Fats Waller - Ain't Misbehavin'
(Aug 03, 2011 - 16:21)
Why isn't anyone called "Fats" anymore?

Fairport Convention - Farewell Farewell
(Jul 25, 2011 - 10:59)
Where have I been - never heard of them and I was around then! Very nice. Caught my ear so I looked it up expecting some new indie band. 1970?? wow.

Alison Krauss & Union Station - Paper Airplane
(Jul 01, 2011 - 16:20)
Saw them last week at the Greek Theater in Berkeley CA. They were great, sound even better live. Dummy me didn't realize Jerry Douglas on the Dobro was part of this band. I became acquainted with him from his solo track played on RP. He adds soo much to the band, he's the star of the show after Alison.

The Wailin' Jennys - What Has Been Done
(Jun 22, 2011 - 15:43)
Introduced to me on RP. Just saw them last night at Freight & Salvage in Berkeley, CA. Very nice show, just as pretty and pure as the CD tracks. They are all songwriters with about equal contribution to the live show. A few songs from other writers but most of their work is home grown.

The Idan Raichel Project - She'eriot Shel Ha'Chaim (Scraps Of Life)
(Jun 21, 2011 - 11:27)
Really nice song, in any language. A very pleasant tune and voice. I bought the CD based on this song alone and am not disappointed, although this is probably the best song.

The Wailin' Jennys - What Has Been Done
(May 24, 2011 - 12:32)
Love this band!

The Frames - Rise
(May 13, 2011 - 11:12)
Really like the vocals

The New Pornographers - Moves
(Mar 25, 2011 - 15:44)
2->1 YUK

Youngbloods - Darkness, Darkness
(Mar 15, 2011 - 10:53)
More Jesse !!!

Pikkardiyska Tertsia - Witch's Eyes
(Mar 11, 2011 - 15:54)
Awesome shirt! Where can I get one?

Faithless - Reverence
(Mar 10, 2011 - 11:50)
NO! Say it isn't so! On RP??? I get enough of this elsewhere.

Steve Stevens - Sadhana
(Mar 01, 2011 - 17:49)
Great song!

This style of music always brings out the guitar snobs. There seems to be some mystery  "pure" Flamenco we are all missing.

Big Audio Dynamite - The Bottom Line
(Jan 25, 2011 - 16:27)
Yuk, 80's music. About the only band I like from that decade is REM.

Dave Brubeck Quartet - Take Five
(Jan 05, 2011 - 11:16)
The sax line sounds like the inspiration for the bar scene in the first Star Wars movie.

Crosby Stills & Nash - Helplessly Hoping
(Dec 20, 2010 - 14:25)
Timeless!

David Bowie - Lady Grinning Soul
(Dec 20, 2010 - 14:17)
Sounds like a 007 theme song.

Cloud Cult - Journey Of The Featherless
(Dec 15, 2010 - 11:45)
Yuk

Guster - Ruby Falls
(Dec 15, 2010 - 11:25)
Ugh, great song but do I need to hear it so often??? Please NO.

The Idan Raichel Project - She'eriot Shel Ha'Chaim (Scraps Of Life)
(Dec 14, 2010 - 17:07)
I like it.

It's so refreshing to hear something completely different.

The Doobie Brothers - Toulouse Street
(Nov 22, 2010 - 10:05)
Great song! I'm a DB fan but have never heard this song. Sounds like it was produced by CSN.

Solomon Burke - None Of Us Are Free
(Nov 17, 2010 - 10:31)
Not Free? I'll say, he had 21 children!

Bettye LaVette - Love Reign O'er Me (Live)
(Nov 09, 2010 - 15:25)
If you had never heard the original, would you like this song? Judge it on that basis. I think it's cool!

Ludovico Einaudi - Andare
(Oct 12, 2010 - 18:12)
I like this music but it ALWAYS makes me think of a movie soundtrack. I'm surprised I don't see similar comments.

Vienna Teng - Watershed
(Oct 08, 2010 - 17:03)
I wonder why t00lur even listens to RP, it's obviously far too classy.

Blondie - Fade Away And Radiate
(Oct 06, 2010 - 14:06)
Dammit, Janet!!

Crack the Sky - Ice
(Oct 05, 2010 - 14:57)
Bill - Oops it looks like the album name is Crack Attic.

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - The Trip To Pirate's Cove
(Oct 01, 2010 - 13:57)
Bill you are in danger of a commercial radio sin: playing this into the ground. I like everything you've played off this CD but as an everyday all day listener it's wearing thin.

New Order - Blue Monday
(Oct 01, 2010 - 13:52)
How does this get such a high rating? I now know when many of you were born.

Big Brother And The Holding Company - Turtle Blues
(Sep 29, 2010 - 11:04)
Summertime Summertime Summertime! Please.

This is one of the all time historic rock albums. Absolutely classic.

Dave Mason - Look At You Look At Me
(Sep 28, 2010 - 14:30)
I love it! I grew up with this music. Could it be that long ago???

Great music never gets old.

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - The Trip To Pirate's Cove
(Sep 27, 2010 - 12:25)
i like this song, but can we hear something else off the album sometimes???

Michael Franti & Spearhead - Pray For Grace
(Sep 20, 2010 - 16:50)

Just awful.  Beyond ghastly.  {#Headache}Not my genre and partly the reason why I listen to RP - in order to avoid stuff like this.

Ditto

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - Running Man's Bible
(Sep 17, 2010 - 16:34)
Tom Dylan !!

Cake - Sheep Go to Heaven
(Sep 08, 2010 - 16:53)
I'd be happy if this song went to either place.

Basia Bulat - Heart Of My Own
(Sep 01, 2010 - 14:23)
I like the song better than the cover art. Someone had to really be quick with the cell phone to snap that shot.

Perez Prado - Mambo No.5
(Aug 06, 2010 - 11:20)
I'm dreaming of Genie...

New Order - Blue Monday
(Jul 29, 2010 - 13:48)
Gads, were any humans required to make this music?

The drum machine from hell...

Fiona Apple - Extraordinary Machine
(Jul 29, 2010 - 10:49)
I could have gone all day without hearing this song.

One eskimO - Kandi
(Jul 09, 2010 - 12:08)

Oh sweet baby Jesus, not this song again.

It's a nice enough song, but baby baby baby, this shows up so often I feel like I've been listening to it all night long.  {#Puke}

I listen every day at work and have never heard this song. I like it.

Mary Gauthier - Mercy Now
(Jul 08, 2010 - 14:56)
Liked this song so took a chance and bought the CD. Unfortunately this is the best song on the CD, the rest is just okay.

Glen Hansard & Markéta Irglová - Falling Slowly
(Jul 01, 2010 - 12:58)
I had to check, is that Cat Stevens?? Nope.

The Doors - Spanish Caravan
(Apr 29, 2010 - 18:10)
Awesome seque from Paco De Lucia Bill! I didn't even notice until Jim started singing.

Fleetwood Mac - Black Magic Woman
(Apr 20, 2010 - 14:27)
Does this make anyone think of Robert Cray? Especially nearer the end of the song.

Traffic - Freedom Rider
(Apr 19, 2010 - 11:12)
Kudos to Bill for allowing this song to play after the last track, Glad, the way the artist intended. These two blend together on the original vinyl and broadcast radio always does the chop chop...

Kathleen Edwards - Asking for Flowers
(Mar 03, 2010 - 12:07)
First time I heard this. Clicked on the Amazon button and now I own the CD!

The Derek Trucks Band - Back Where I Started
(Dec 23, 2009 - 14:38)
Susan = Bonnie + Janis
(Janis hiding in this song)

Jackson Browne - That Girl Could Sing
(Dec 23, 2009 - 14:23)
Love Jackson but please find something less obliterated by the radio...

Travis - Sing
(Dec 23, 2009 - 14:21)
Am I the only one thinking of John Lennon? Somehow seems like something he would do.
