Division Kent - Rooftop Rally
(Nov 02, 2007 - 09:26)
Too poppy for me, not enough rock and her whispering voice bothers me. Not for me, this!
Björk - Venus As A Boy

Points off. It's Sinéad O'Connor. You WILL be graded on spelling. Always.

Skinhead O' Connor ;).

I never really know what to think of Björk. I like her person, her personality. I think she has some really strong stuff in her music and the way she uses her voice, but I'd never put it on, at home. I think I have respect for Björk, but that's not particularly because I like her music that much.
Big Audio Dynamite - The Bottom Line
(May 17, 2007 - 18:30)
This is truly awful :P
Van Morrison - Crazy Love
(May 17, 2007 - 17:56)
Can't really recognize his voice in this one?

Petesku: Right you are. Van is a Sad Sucker!
Jem - Come On Closer
(May 16, 2007 - 10:56)

you actually need rock to headbang, right?
I totally agree with Daniel.
Hope this is a one time mistake. Don't play R&B Bill... This is almost destiny's child... YUCK!
Sarah McLachlan - Fallen
(May 06, 2007 - 14:57)
My god this is boring and annoying.
Can't find anything interesting in this song, unfortunately :(
Dire Straits - Once Upon A Time In The West
(May 06, 2007 - 14:24)
I'm a dIRE sTRAITS fan, what can I say?
Great song, one of their better ones :).

"Warmer remasters". Sounds good!
Animals - House of the Rising Sun
(Apr 14, 2007 - 17:09)
It's a classic. And it's great!
Love the clip, too.
But somehow I tend to prefer the Frijid Pink version (cover of the same year).
Bob Dylan - Don't Think Twice, It's All Right
(Apr 05, 2007 - 16:26)
Godlike!
Second best song he made.
Best, for me, is Blind Willie McTell.
Put it in your list mister :D
Fotheringay - The Way I Feel
(Apr 05, 2007 - 06:50)
Great! Really great!
Never heard of this band, never heard of the song either. Hope I'll find this version on Limewire for my RP tapes :D
Aqualung - Strange and Beautiful
(Apr 04, 2007 - 16:15)
Great song by JT!
Peter Gabriel - Burn You Up Burn You Down
(Apr 04, 2007 - 15:45)
I dislike it, but I certainly don't dislike RP :D
Red House Painters - Trailways
(Apr 04, 2007 - 13:41)
Fits nicely behind Drake. It's not as good, but it's certainly nice. I'll remember this name.
Nick Drake - Clothes Of Sand
(Apr 04, 2007 - 13:39)
Great artist, Nick Drake.
Sounds like a mosquito when you play his music to soft (try it, it's true) and it's not suitable for playing whilst driving, but it's great music. He never should have died :(.
9!
Matson Belle - Float
(Apr 04, 2007 - 13:31)
Irritating voice, loads of sampling, music of the type "Been there, done that".
No more than a 2...
Calexico - Cruel
(Apr 03, 2007 - 11:46)
Calexico :).
Best band of the moment, what should I say?
Worst album so far, but still a 10 :)
English Beat - Save It for Later
(Apr 03, 2007 - 11:25)
Hmmm, guess I'll have to download more of those guys. This song really wasn't interesting for me.
English Beat - Save It for Later
(Apr 03, 2007 - 09:37)
Save it for later... like... When I'm not listening.
A little too simple for me :).
Jayne Sachs - Empty Rooms Again
(Apr 03, 2007 - 09:33)
My god! It's almost the Corrs.
This is awful to my ears :(
The Beatles - You Never Give Me/The End
(Apr 03, 2007 - 08:25)
Guess you're just not listening the right way.
Have a go at "Only Sleeping", "Elenor Rigby", "Norwegian Wood", "Fool on the Hil" and "The Taxman".
You can't possibly dislike them, or Can you?

Well, I own all beatles albums on both record and tape and I've got copies on MD for in my car. Concluding: Yeah, I love the beatles. And this song, aswell :)
Jake Shimabukuro - While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Ah, and now come the beatles :)
Jake Shimabukuro - While My Guitar Gently Weeps
(Apr 03, 2007 - 08:19)
Godlike man!
10 points.
this is brilliant. You played it at least 5 times a week, but I don't mind!
Joan Osborne - St. Teresa
(Apr 03, 2007 - 08:17)
What has she got with those Religious Lyrics?
And what a way to pronounce "Moon".
Higher than the mwwwwwwwn.
totally dislike it!
Eagles - Hotel California (live acoustic)
(Apr 03, 2007 - 07:15)
Still a great song. Love the DVD, saw them live. Great!
Bill: You DON't PLAY TOO MUCH DYLAN (see below)
Coldplay - The Scientist
(Apr 03, 2007 - 05:29)
I still mis some sort of 'feeling' with the "A rush of blood to the head" album. Definately prefer Parachutes and X&Y. Both got them on Vinyl and especially Parachutes is on my turntable a LOT!
Calexico - Alone Again Or
(Apr 03, 2007 - 05:27)
Huge Calexico fan, but I prefer the Love version aswell. Still great, though.
They should've change the lyrics. Man are they bad :D
"I think that People are the greatest fun".
But a great song :)
Norah Jones - Come Away With Me
(Apr 03, 2007 - 05:22)
Heard enough of her the past few years. Starts to bore me. She has too many clones by now, aswell.
And I'm irritated because the vinyl releases of her album sound awful!
Nina Simone - I Shall Be Released
(Apr 03, 2007 - 03:50)
I'll just stick to the bob version ;).
There's only one cover of this song that's actually worth listening to. Try the Slackers' Version
Kim Richey - This Love
(Apr 03, 2007 - 03:48)
Damn, here voice is really bothering me.
Bleuh :P.
Naggg... naaaaaaggg
Blind Melon - No Rain
(Apr 03, 2007 - 03:47)
Great song! Always thought it was.
pity the CD isn't too good :(
Mary Hopkin - Those Were The Days
(Apr 03, 2007 - 03:46)
Classic :).
Unfortunately the only reasonable song she made :(
Bedouin Soundclash - When The Night Feels My Song
(Apr 03, 2007 - 03:43)
Irritating, actually.
Listened to Paul Simon too much and decided: "I can do that!". But he can't. And neither can his backing vocal choir!
The Beta Band - Space
(Mar 29, 2007 - 16:39)
Never heard of it. Very spacy!
I actually like it :).
Neil Young - Old Man
(Mar 29, 2007 - 16:38)
There's not much of Neil Young I won't rate with a 10 :).
I'm even going to let my girlfriend paint the "Harvest" Record Sleeve on my wall :)
Eagles - Seven Bridges Road
(Mar 29, 2007 - 15:43)
Heard 'em do it live in 2002 and it's great! Love the song and it's possibility to add voices almost infinitely.
But I believe it was fighting with Bill's Compressor/Limiter. You shouldn't use one, man :)
Alpha Yaya Diallo - Yèkè Yèkè
(Mar 29, 2007 - 13:25)
I'd rather keep it english and rockish :).
Really don't like any of the eastern music Bill plays :(
Lucinda Williams - Come On
(Mar 29, 2007 - 11:35)
Youngish :). That's the good news.
But the voice... She sure sounds like "Llllucinda Willliams". Hate the pronouncement of the lyrics. Blagh :P
The Be Good Tanyas - Human Thing
(Mar 29, 2007 - 11:32)

Yeah. It sounds like she has a mouth full of marbles. And she's trying to keep them from rolling down her throat.

Sounds a bit like Kim Carnes/Rod Stewart.
Dull music... :(.
(don't like female voices in general, but the music is dull aswell)
Calexico - Sunken Waltz
(Mar 21, 2007 - 16:53)
First song I heard from these guys. Instantly started downloading more. Got myself into a huge calexico addiction. Saw them live @ The Effenaar, Eindhoven - The Netherlands. Really guys, if you like this: Go and see them live, they're even better live than on CD's! Worth every penny!
And if you by any chance own a serious record player, buy the vinyl. Sounds way better than the CD's.
