Quite possibly the best song to have on when driving fast down the road on a starry summer night with the windows down. Love it!

Abso-fkn-lutely - well said.

David Bowie - Heroes (single mix)
(Jun 30, 2012 - 17:52)
- an aside: This version is not the one on 'Heroes—'

King Crimson - Epitaph

One of the only songs to have a record company named after it.

Is that true? Really great if so - thanks!

This is great. I immediately thought of Pet Sounds or Smiley Smile.

TOTALLY agree. Also - to cite a more recent example, Animal Collective.

Stevie Wonder - I Believe
(Jun 12, 2011 - 13:08)
...makes me tear up every time I hear it, and you can't really give a song higher praise than that. I'm not that crazy about the funked-up ending, actually - feel it diminishes the overall effect. But his singing is so strong here. Great, great love song.

Queens Of The Stone Age - I Never Came

If you like this song, I would highly recommend buying this CD. It flows extremely well and is filled with tuneful, well-crafted songs.

Robert Plant - Even This Shall Pass Away

I'd like to add that this track is not one of the better selections from this release IMO.

Saw him in Seattle 2 nights ago and it was FANTASTIC.  Highly recommend if you can make it.  The guy obviously loves music, performing and he was very interactive with all of us in the crowd.  I enjoy seeing people who enjoy!

Agreed - saw RP at the Greek last week and I'd recommend as well. Tight, tight band of great players (including Patty Griffin (!) and Buddy Miller) backing him added to the overall quality. Actually, it's not so much as a backing band as just a band that has as its lead singer Rpbert Plant. He sounds great, too.

The Shins - Black Wave

The more I listen to it the more I realize that this may be the most underrated album of the last decade.

- great comment.

Super Furry Animals - Run! Christian, Run!
(Apr 26, 2011 - 10:21)
I find this band to have consistently good songwriting...nice to hear this on RP.

Brian Eno - Dead Finks Don't Talk

Sounds like the sort of thing one comes up with when messing about in Apple GarageBand on a lazy Sunday... Not good, not bad, it just is.

I think you can't overlook the fact that this song made in 1974, and was WAY ahead of its time.

Elton John - Sixty Years On
