Whether you are a marxist or not I assume you once or twice have pondered how many problems that has derived from mankinds aimless hunger for more physical belongings? I, like you, don't think a prohibition of the right to own is any answer. But maybe, for your own sake, it isn't such a bad idea to stop for a second and think:
Do I really need all this to feel satisfied? Or are there something else missing? Maybe I'm chasing the wrong rabbit.

Perhaps you can relate to what I'm saying. If not, think about it, and I hope you someday will see my point.

And I am not even going to get in to the religion bit. If it isn't obvious to you how much misery religion have led to, is leading to and always will lead to - I'm not sure I can help you with that.

This "dialog" has prompted me to write my first comment ever. I like the range of music so much that I have spent way too much money on iTunes and I don't even bother to rate tunes. New discoveries are commonplace. I also have watched civility in the comment section decline markedly over the last year or two, and have wondered why so many people feel the need to bash artists they don't happen to like. And then get into Insult Olympics with other listeners who disagree with their opinions. It has turned the comment section into a smelly pit of machismo unfortunately, everybody puttin' up their dukes and slamming each other as best as they possibly can - the angrier the better.  One of the great things about RP, which others have repeatedly stated is that there is a great range of musical styles. Odds are that we don't like everything we hear, right? So, uh, so what? Is it that compelling to get on the keyboard and send out that intense hate? Is it really that satisfying? Must be.  Quite the playpen of insecurity and a sad need for validation. The contrast of this behavior with the wonderful musical offerings is stark.
Oh, and Bill? Thanks for playing Talking Heads, David Byrne, and REM. All great bands/artists IMHO. (And comically predictable magnets for the wrath of the hate posters.) I brace for the onslaught while I climb back out of the pit.
