Fleetwood Mac - Sentimental Lady
(Jul 10, 2012 - 10:04)
Wow... I love Fleetwood Mac and this had me turning the volume knob down. I'm not used to doing that on here {#Eek}... I gotta give this one a mere ho hum - 3.

Oh well, you can go your own way.

Arctic Monkeys - That's Where You're Wrong
(May 24, 2012 - 15:12)

Does anyone else picture these guys playing this tune...   ?

Jack White - Love Interruption
(May 16, 2012 - 10:20)
Keep Rocking it Bill, with no interruptions... haters will always hate.

Little Hurricane - Haunted Heart
(May 15, 2012 - 10:56)
This is why Radio Paradise rocks... music I wouldn't hear anywhere else. Thanks Bill! {#Dance}

Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
(Mar 14, 2012 - 13:46)

While I hear what your saying, can you deny that this gets a fair amount of airplay on this station? Since he was such a great talent, maybe we could all be exposed to MORE of Jeff's music.., not just one tune. Kind of follows your own logic no? '

Not many songs on RP has so many 9's & 10's...

...if the 9's & 10's didn't get priority over the rest then we'd just hear more 4's & 5's. The older you get the more songs repeat, I would think.

Bon Iver - Holocene
(Feb 28, 2012 - 16:31)
sing  (sng)
v. sang (sng) or sung (sng), sung, sing·ing, sings
To utter a series of words or sounds in musical tones.
To vocalize songs or selections.
To perform songs or selections as a trained or professional singer.

————————————————————

whine  (hwn, wn)
v. whined, whin·ing, whines

To utter a plaintive, high-pitched, protracted sound, as in pain, fear, supplication, or complaint.
To complain or protest in a childish fashion.
To produce a sustained noise of relatively high pitch: jet engines whining.

...I'm pretty sure those handing out music contracts aren't in the business of selling terrible
childish fashion whining. You either like the style of "singing" or you don't, it's subjective but it isn't whining. Going on a song comment page and posting your uneducated opinion is.

Bon Iver - Holocene
(Feb 08, 2012 - 16:00)
Love the double drum set... and I agree, these guys sounded great on SNL. Makes me wanna see them live in an outdoor event, at dusk.

Death Cab For Cutie - Transatlanticism
(Feb 08, 2012 - 10:33)
Pemberton, July 2008... What a great day. They opened with this beauty.

...now that look back, I remember seeing a Radio Paradise T-shirt. Were you there Bill?

Gregory Alan Isakov - Big Black Car
(Feb 07, 2012 - 13:38)
I sure could go for a Big Mac right now...

... how i do like this song. thanks bill. i bought the album the other day, i find myself really drawn to this, lotus flower and codex. simply put, i love radio head, but when thom's vocal melody drives a song, i love them even more.
glad they are still at it.

Cake - Long Time
(Feb 07, 2011 - 15:31)
...all this needs is a glass of milk and a small fork and I'm set :)

Cake - Bound Away
(Jan 26, 2011 - 11:09)
It's aboot time we got more Cake...

The Bad Plus - Flim
(Nov 23, 2010 - 10:37)
Very Aphex Twin sounding... I like it.{#Curtain}

Björk - Jóga
(Oct 05, 2010 - 11:36)
She get a 9 from me.

Why? not because she has 13 Grammy nods and has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide on an independent label but because her sound is ORIGINAL and not vanilla.

 {#Daisy}

Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
(Oct 01, 2010 - 11:53)
Hallelujah it's FRIDAY!

...save your vomit, negativity, and hate for Mondays.
{#Naughty}

Nirvana - All Apologies
(Sep 20, 2010 - 11:17)
I'm glad Nirvana came along and squashed bands like Motley Crue, Poison, and Bon Jovi. I was surprised Bill played this... Made me think back when I crotched a mickey of rye, moshed, crowd surfed all night, and wore steel toed boots so I didn't get my feet stomped to concerts. If you never did any of these back in the early 90's then you'll never get Kurt or his music!

I still have the concert t-shirt & ticket stub from the last time I saw him alive.

It's monday, people... relax and drink you chai matcha!

Alice In Chains - When The Sun Rose Again
(Sep 01, 2010 - 16:44)
Good song, it makes you feel as though the rest of the world is in a bubble of glass and that you're rubbing up against it like a bad windshield wiper.

Amanda Palmer - Fake Plastic Trees
(Aug 31, 2010 - 16:53)
Someone give her Ukelelehead a shake...

LCD Soundsystem - Dance Yrself Clean
(Jul 19, 2010 - 12:03)
...so far this is my Summer 2010 song. Hard not to dance on the train home when I've got this drowning out all the vanilla pop rock spilling out other people's earphones. I wish it left me feeling more clean.

{#Dancingbanana}

The Black Keys - Tighten Up
(Jul 15, 2010 - 15:08)
The comment to this song is Outstanding.

The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger
(May 28, 2010 - 11:29)
...play the Nylons version of "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" instead. ~that's my 20¢

Dan Mangan - Sold
(Apr 28, 2010 - 14:50)
...can't clap that fast if I tried!{#Clap}

Wintersleep - Drunk on Aluminium
(Apr 21, 2010 - 13:47)
Saw them in Pemberton at the festival. They flew straight from New Orleans or somewhere near there and apparently the had all their gear stolen from their van so they borrowed gear from fellow countrymen Sam Roberts and they rocked harder than anyone at the festival. The sound guys must have it dialed in 'cause I've never heard such loud guitar riffs and I was front row for Nirvana at the Forum back in the day...

Pemberton was also the 1st time I saw a Radio Paradise T-shirt... I thought it was cool and showed my girlfriend but she didn't care much :v)

Seen Wintersleep 3 more times live since. Great to hear on R.P.

**High Five!{#Guitarist}

Tori Amos - Smells Like Teen Spirit
(Mar 16, 2010 - 14:27)
Back when In Utero came out I used to go to my room and crank up Nirvana's "R@pe me" every time my sister and I fought. She absolutely hated the song! She would in return try and drown it out with Tori Amos from her room, which only fulled the fire!

This song brings me right back to the hallway in between our 2 rooms - my ears are bleeding but there's a slight smirk on my face...

I don't know how to rate it... so I won't!   {#Fight}

Chemical Brothers - Surface to Air
(Mar 02, 2010 - 10:41)
{#Bananapiano} Not as many complaints as I thought... nice to see. I'm tapping my feet to this one.

Jill Barber - Oh My My
(Feb 23, 2010 - 10:17)
Saw Jill last night at the Yaletown Live venue in Vancouver for the Olympics... She was a character and this was one of the last songs she played in a great set. If she's in town you should bring your sweetie and check her out.

Silversun Pickups - Rusted Wheel
(Jan 29, 2010 - 14:45)
I don't think I've ever skipped past a Swoon track on my ipod, they're all solid and if this earlier album is as good I'm looking forward to hearing more. I like this track.

Dan Mangan - Road Regrets
(Jan 18, 2010 - 15:53)
I enjoy this song.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Dan performing on an NBC talk show that starts at 11:35pm in the future...

Dan Mangan - Robots
(Nov 10, 2009 - 10:49)
Long time listener... this is my 1st comment and it blows me away that Dan has made it to my favorite radio station. Dan went to school with my girlfriend and she dragged me out to his show 3 years ago. Now I try to go see him everytime he's in town...

This song is so much fun live because you are part of the song! ...this recording is good but it's nothing like sitting 10 feet away with a beer in your hand and your girl on your arm singing at the top of your lungs!

Nice pick Bill!
