It just reminds me how much I hated mainstream 80's pop. To be fair it isn't a bad tune.

I don't think Radio Paradise should abstain from playing it just because I, personally, happened to hate the 80's. For one thing, if they never played anything I disliked, I'd start worrying. For another, it's good to have an occasional reminder that, yes, exiting the 80s was indeed a sensible choice for humanity in general and me in particular.

I saw New Order live at the Berkeley Greek Theater when they toured for this Album in 1987. The lineup was with Gene Loves Jezebel and Echo and the Bunnyman. The goth newwave crowd was a show in itself.

This is a critically acclaimed hit from the 80's RP also plays critically acclaimed hits from other decades and obviously stuff from now which is interesting enough to deserve a proper critique.

So not quite sure where your surprise is coming from.

I am a long time RP listener and don't think this tune shouldn't be played here. I love New Order and True Faith but honestly I never expected to hear it on RP.

Dang - I love the way this song starts... It gets my foot tapping, my shoulders rocking... Oh, wait - it's an epileptic seizure. {#Roflol} Seriously - I do like this song.  New Order has this damnable way of either making me dance or making me tear my hair out.  Since I still have most of my hair, they usually manage to stay on my good side. This song is straddling the fence...
