I usually sneer at this genre, but I can't help but liking her music.... reminds me of people I used to know.

I think I would really enjoy a version of this on acoustic guitar with light reverb...and maybe a Neko Case singing it. I would really LOVE that! Let me also add the part about it happening in my room. Ok, ok...then the alarm sounds and I wake up.

I feel the same way about this one. I hated it when it was a hit, though this was probably in part due to hearing drunk teenage girls sing along to it very badly every night.

Nice tune, if you like the lachrymose lonely-and-broken heart stuff. I oughta know; this one reminds me of the girl I probably could have married, and then we dumped one another.  That's life, that's what all the people say.

My ex had this when we got married... seemed nice at the time. But yeah, "prat" is a reasonable description of this lady. I guess it's also a reasonable description of me when I proposed to Matilda the Hun.

I get a lesson every time I hear her and read the comments associated. I find her voice forced and thin, her writing shrill and harsh - but that she moves and enthralls others in undeniable. A very good ego removal exercise, that. I'm listening.

Disagree. On what are you basing this opinion? She's got more balls than most people. She put her career on the line for her beliefs and took a a lot of abuse for it. I don't think most of us would be willing to do what she did. Whether or not you agree with her politics, she's a badass. And her voice is magic.

I think I hurt myself from laughing.  I love her voice and her conviction. And now I'll probably always listen to her with the vision of a stinging lizard (IS there even such a thing? I'm thinking not, but I live in Nevada where all our lizards just run and eat bugs...), but it only makes me love her music more.

Shutting up now.

Never cared for this song all that much, especially because of the political flak associated with Sinead at the time this came out.  But with the passage of time and hearing this after George ... well it works.
