I've had the pleasure to see Cook perform several times and have hung out with him afterwards. He is an incredibly humble, natural performer, who just takes pleasure in the music and in hanging out with the musicians in acts who play before and afterwards. He's also very versatile: he can play on a box just as well as on a 12-string.

Not getting why some people think this act is not terrific. Music, playing, orchestration, production. Cook is an incredibly fluid and passionate guitar player. A very evocative and alluring sound. And I probably never would have known of it had I not heard it on RP. Clearly, Bill has much better taste then some of the listeners. Thanks, Bill.

If you ever get a chance to see Jesse live, get tix. He puts on a great live show. He's not the least bit flashy or pretentious, like other performers I can think of (Robert Michaels and Pavlo both come to mind).

I've seen Jesse several times now and each show is a treat.

I recently saw Jesse Cook in Concert on his first date of his current Canadian tour in Ottawa. VERY worth while seeing live if the opportunity arises. Excellent group of musicians working with him.

Three words: they're both great. And Jesse is very distinct from Ottmar. Having listened to both extensively, I can certainly tell the diff.
