flashback to driving off a sorrow filled last date in my used but cool '69 Mercury Cougar, Ferry coming thru the late night FM college station with all the assurances necessary to get back out there, she's waiting for a sappy romantic hero just like pimply faced me, dag-gummit

An under-appreciated album at a rating of 8.0. One of the great concept works of pop music.

That's like preferring sugar free brownie...and decaf coffee with artificial sweetener and powdered creamer over a true bakery brownie and a fresh ground dark roast cup of java.

There's something so ethereal about the melody, especially the synth part, that hits me right in my emotion bone. Dr Oz, should I have this looked at, or should I just turn the volume up?

This is a beautiful piece and it should be a 10, but because it just peters out at the ending, I have to give it a 9.

Bought this CD for my daughter as I love Roxy Music and as her name is Roxanne (no, she was not named for them), I thought she would get a kick out of the name - but to my surprize, she loves the music!!

Pretty and optimistic....for those of us who were youngsters in the 80s, this song was among many in our soundtrack, but it seems so much more sublime now.

this one has stood the test of time wonderfully.  as crisp and clear and moving as when it first came out.  some songs feel dated even if they are enjoyable, but not this one.

Well, More Than This has a different feel than many Roxy songs, but to me from it's very beginning this song is utterly beautiful, haunting and magical. An instant classic that I have always loved.

Hey, we only speak English here.

Not my favorite Roxy tune but it's got a good beat and you can do what Brits do to it - nothing.  Maybe go see a dentist or something. Whine like Frenchmen. Lie around the house until the wife comes home with the "cheque" from the "Dole".  Stuff like that.

It's a nice song bro. Not great, but nice. And you have a nice day too.

I seem to have confused some fellow RPers further down the page, so: "This song is hard" - think Bill Murray in Lost in Translation.

Oooooh - I agree!  If some kind soul would upload a few early Roxy Music songs for review... I've got seven submitted songs (no, not Roxy Music) in review now. It takes time... Can't afford to buy music, but if I have it on CD and can convert it to a decent MP3 bitrate, I'll try to upload it. Meanwhile, I still love this song - it's great for doing stretches in the dark with candles and fragrance. Dreamy and inspiring...

I uploaded "Out of the Blue" on the LRC and it was rejected with a rating of 21/3. Go figure?
