love this song...

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes."  —Charles R. Swindoll

I have to admit my knowledge of The Verve has pretty much been limited to Bittersweet Symphony.

This is quite nice - a solid 7 - which is good enough.

How weird. I was just thinking of this song yesterday and dreaded digging up the CD from my overstuffed basement. Haven't heard it in over a decade.

I was in the kitchen listening to this song and it just drew me in to the living room to give it a 9 and kick  it up a few notches on the volume.

for some reason I don't like this song - the more I hear it the more I understand it is the vocals... don't like the sound of voice of the singer, it is really annoying.

The "reunion" at Coachella '08 was one of the better rock concerts I ever heard. The Verve's players had matured and broadened therir sensibility far beyond the relatively canned-sounding, highly processed studio stuff, They were very well received.
