uhm...if it really sounded much better on a good and correctly set up record player, you wouldn't need a dark room.

I've got to admit, that is a cool use for for a RasberryPi. You've started me wondering how cheap you could go on the digital part of the h/w to receive RP (or any inferior internet radio stations if that floats your boat) without losing any of the data. You've set an interesting challenge at $35.

..back to the music, and yes, a classic, though for me it sounds best listening to the album as a whole rather than extracting idividual tracks.

Odd that some people can't distinguish "synthie" music from drums, bass, guitar and electric piano.

Ahh music - it's not for everyone.

I think Bill is playing his "what I would put in a time capsule for the aliens" series.  First the Pink Panther theme, and now this.  Ya, they poisoned their planet, treated their women like dogs, and made war every chance they could get, but they had some good tunes.  Now put that capsule back before your hands burn off.

Never mind how simple it may or may not be (bending strings to perfect pitch is as much an art as it is a technical excercise) - the key is how there is no clutter or random filler. Each and every note drives the song and accents the material. Sheer brilliance.

As much as I am tired of hearing this tune and prone to changing the channel whenever I hear the opening notes, I do agree that the guitar solo is quite tasty and inspired.

This song made me realize at a young age how quickly time moves by and helped me realize that it's up to me to make the most of it.  This is why I am an atheist.  I have one chance at this life and it's very fleeting, so I live my life as if it's the only one I have.
