SHIVER LYRICS

Coldplay

So I look in your direction,
But you pay me no attention, do you?
I know you don't listen to me.
'cause you say you see straight through me, don't you?

And on and on from the moment I wake,
To the moment I sleep,
I'll be there by your side,
Just you try and stop me,
I'll be waiting in line,
Just to see if you care.

Did you want me to change?
Well I changed for good
And I want you to know.
That you'll always get your way
I wanted to say,

Don't you Shiver?
Shiver
Sing it loud and clear

I'll always be waiting for you,
So you know how much I need you,
But you never even see me, do you?
And is this my final chance of getting you?

And on and on from the moment I wake,
To the moment I sleep,
I'll be there by your side,
Just you try and stop me,
I'll be waiting in line,
Just to see if you care.

Oh, oh, oh, oh.

Did you want me to change?
Well I changed for good
And I want you to know.
That you'll always get your way
I wanted to say,

Don't you Shiver?
Don't you Shiver?

Sing it loud and clear.
I'll always be waiting for you.

Yeah I'll always be waiting for you.
Yeah I'll always be waiting for you.
Yeah I'll always be waiting for you.
For you,
I will always be waiting.

And it's you I see, but you don't see me.
And it's you I hear, so loud and so clear
I sing it loud and clear.
And I'll always be waiting for you.

So I look in your direction,
But you pay me no attention,
And you know how much I need you,
But you never even see me.

This song Live in Seattle May 2012.....Awesome. The WHOLE show was so fun. Production + music = BEST total concert experience, since I saw Pink Floyd (minus Roger) in early 90's.....and I have seen what I believe is a wide variety of  world class, regional favorites, local favorites, unknowns, genre upon genre, over the many years.  Radio paradise is the BOMB! I'm spreading the word!  {#Heartkiss}

Now that's an oxymoron! IMO this is typical efficient Coldplay and nice enough, but I wish that yer man had laid off the falsetto. Is there some kind of virility test amongst male vocalists, that they have to do a falsetto now and again even when their voices can't hack it? Morrissey was an egregious example of this, but plenty of others could be named, I'm sure. 6 from the Nottingham jury.

I tend to agree. Sure, they still put out a decent tune now and again, but I wouldn't really miss anything they've released after Rush of Blood.

Seems so generic to me, but I guess it resonates in some people?  It's too eager for me to read my jaded self into it.  Makes me want Lou Reed and a Scotch.

But eventually I realized that these guys were going nowhere fast, and the charm was gone.

All this Coldplay haters need to relax and remember when they first heard this song and album— how they felt then. Obviously some folks get bitter and turned off to a band when they go mega-commercial and get over-played on FM, and no band is more deserving of it than Coldplay. But with that said, this is good music...not the best ever made, but it is damn good and IMHO not worth all the bashing.

I didn't like them from the start, but it's ok. I just don't like that complaining voice.

And Weird Al is an excellent musician (with a better voice).

Possibly the best Coldplay song ever. It's so raw and authentic. Coldplay get progressively worse as the time goes by, but the entire album Parachutes is rock music at its finest.
