why's it so strange when they say that the world's movin upwards?
Why's it surreal when my hands feel they cant roll the dice?
Why's it so great just to wake every day, alive and by your side.
It's a mystery I guess, there's lots of things I cant find.
Its not the way that you look, but your move that catches my eye.
Why's it so soft when the cannons unload on the others?
Why're we so loud when we say it wont happen to us?
Why does my mind blow to bits every time they play that song?
It's just the way that he sings,
not the words that he says, or the band.
Im in love with this soul, it's a meaning that I understand.

| socalhol (Seattle) | Posted: Nov 12, 2012 - 15:05 Release date seems to be incorrect? Allmusic shows Jun 5, 2001. Still surprises me to see that this album is going on 12 years old!! I only heard it when I first began listening to RP in 2007, so it's only 5 years old to me! | |||

| Toke (Bournemouth UK) | Posted: Jun 17, 2012 - 12:44 I just admire the name of the Band, conjours up all sortsof images for me, a great harmonic sound and maybe the attraction is from previous posts in that they have a 60's sound. Altogether a must buy. | |||

| avatar71 (Oakland, CA) | Posted: Apr 24, 2012 - 21:50 This one does get played quite a bit, but I don't know if it would have become one of my favorite MMJ songs otherwise. Some songs need several plays before they put the hook in you...Bill has a sixth sense for songs like these. Of course some songs are overplayed, but those happen to be songs I don't like! | |||

I'm not complaining, but I feel like we hear either the live or studio version of the song daily. Not a bad thing, but worth noting. Also on the CD: Under the Milky Way, Down In The Flood, Little Bird, that brutal The Fray song, Transatlanticism | |||
