travesty .. no other word for it.

    travesty ... - noun

1. a literary or artistic burlesque of a serious work or subject, characterized by grotesque or ludicrous incongruity of style, treatment, or subject matter.
2. a literary or artistic composition so inferior in quality as to be merely a grotesque imitation of its model.
3. any grotesque or debased likeness or imitation: a travesty of justice.

Yeah, Debbie struttin' her rap w/The Lizard King should only come out on special occasions.

Fortunately, I don't hear it anywhere but here.

This song is so bad I might move it from a 2 to a 9 if I hear it enough times.

OK. This is bizarre and unexpected. I am wondering if I'm awake or this is some perverse dream I'm having. {#Sleep}  I think I like it but I'll let you know for sure after I wake up.  Unless it fades from memory like dreams do.

I wholeheartedly agree. Not really my thing but these two songs go together well. I can handle this on a Friday morning fer sure.
It seems I gave this a 1 last time around. I must have been in a bad mood or something. 1->6.

As I'm bored with The Doors and Blondie, combining them doesn't really help...even though in places it works!

Tuned in halfway through the song and I thought it was another of Bills incredible blends from one song to another. It's not.

Bill maybe you should try doing a mashup. I think you could do better than this.

The pieces are interesting - the functionality of the mix is OK, the aesthetic quality is (imo) questionable, at best.

What he said. I'll give it 6 for the novelty factor though, and prolly 7 for each of the cuts individually.

anyone know if EMI sanctioned this before or after he made it?

this is one of my favorite mashups! for everyone who hates mashups on principle, just mute it, cuz clearly Bill likes them and is going to keep playing them. which is good, cuz some of them (like this one) are absolutely brilliant!

Some (very few!) songs stop me in my tracks because they're so good. This is almost unique in its ability to have the same effect, because I dislike it so much. I've tried a couple other mashups, but this doesn't seem to have any merit at all.

The concept of this mashup is much more entertaining than the reality.

I'm glad I heard it once, but it could get old real fast. Like in about 5 minutes.

this sucks. i'm not a huge doors fan, but this is one of my favorites of theirs. mash ups done just for the sake of splicing a couple of songs together without any sense of enchancing both pieces of material is poor..
