This sounds like it was recorded in a submerged phone booth.
Still, it's a nice curio, an echo of the free-spirit era. Glad it's in the rotation, it keeps the memories of those days alive.

Well yeah, but to be honest, this is exactly how my mind worked when I was a teenager. So maybe this is a good song for people who are at that time of life or can remember being like this.

Obviously you really, really like the kinks, but how many times can one person hear the same line "I'm not like everybody else" over and over again.  Especially when that person has already heard the same song way too many times.

If they would have continued in this vein, they'd have been like almost everybody else who was in a band.  Not famous. This song sucks so hard I can hear the amp sound cones vibrating in reverse. Listen closely, you'll hear it, too! {#Yes}
