They "started off" several years before they performed with David Bowie, and they are (still) on a relatively small, independent record label.  Getting to work with David Bowie is quite a "leg-up" for any band, though.  I'm not sure if their music can evolve as much as his did.

Had enough Arcade Fire. 
Good music, but IMO it doesn't hold up to repeated listens. Robo drumming and other annoyances. 
One of my rare complaints about RP.

Thats why DB chose them as they are as repetetive non inspiring, playing/reciting continuous monotonal drivel as he does... sorry friend but DB is not one of my favourites.

Repetitious droning in my opinion. Everything they do sounds the same. Nice that they throw in the occasional chord change try to find some variability.

These guys started off with a big advantage from my personal perspective - playing live with Bowie. For me, anyone DB finds interesting enough to play with, mention in an interview, cover, cite as an influence has always gotten me going to try them out.
