The drum tabs are here: http://www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/porcupine-tree-halo-drum-tab-s15089t4

Nice snare drum displacement in the second half of every measure. I'll give it a try in the practice room tonight.

Had to crank this one up!  This is one of my favourite empty pieces of road music.

BTW, do you think that Steven Wilson was writing about the Republican Party of the USA?  {#Cowboy}

I was always intrigued by the sound of the off key guitar chord at the beginning of the song. Then when they played this live and I saw that Steven was strumming "on the nuts" at the top of the guitar, I thought that it was both unique and a bit daring. Kinda a tongue in cheek, defy this kinda sound, Steven's disgust with Christianity and it's power of control on popular culture.

I tried to turn this band on to a friend of mine who is very religious and I am sure this song turned him off pretty quick. {#Notworthy}

Elbow's Seldom Seen Kid to Porcupine Tree's Halo.

Wow.  What a transition.  I understand it better now and actually hear some similarities.

Only on Radio Paradise folks.

LOL!

Love Elbow and Porcupine Tree including Halo but wouldn't have played both back to back.

P.S.   But now that you are playing it.  I just CRANKED UP Halo at my desk.

Whoa, Bill.

Elbow to Porcupine Tree?   Two good groups, but back-to-back is a jarring juxtaposition. Are you trying to exercise our emotional agility?
