I like this song more and more every time I hear it.

There's just something about his voice that lets me know he's singing directly from his soul; it's usually hard to resist music like that.

Guess I'm in the minority here because I like this song a lot. Based on some of the comments, I think some folks misunderstood the lyrics. It's a story about a guy getting shot in battle remembering his love at home. I thought the story is pretty well told and the music that goes with it I really like. There's plenty of crap out there, but I don't consider this song or this album to be among it. To each their own, I guess.
