I keep thinking this is Nick Drake when the song first starts, and that's definitely a good thing. 

Also, this cover is much MUCH better than the original, although it has its own charm.  I just don't much care for her voice.

I finally heard the original in the car last week.  The whole time I was trying to figure out which familiar song I was listening to.  At first I thought it was a very bad cover of a song I love.  I soon realized it was the original of a song I love.   What a difference between the two!  I am incurably biased towards Jose's cover now.   Score one for Bill.

I gave this a 10, which means I will probably hate the original if I ever hear it.  I complain about covers a lot, but in cases like this when I don't know the original, it works for me.

I saw him live at the Perth International Arts Festival earlier this year and it still sends a shiver up my spine when I think of it.
The crowd stood there in awe for the whole performance - nobody wanted to breath, blink or move in case they missed a single note of it.  It sounded sooooooooo good.
