Ahhh-ah-ah! Ahhh-ah-ah!
We come from the land of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow
Hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands
To fight the horde and sing and cry
Valhalla, I am coming.
On we sweep with the threshing oar
Our only goal will be the western shore.
Ahhh-ah-ah! Ahhh-ah-ah!
We come from the land of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow
How soft your fields so green can whisper tales of gore
Of how we calmed the tides of war
We are your overlords.
On we sweep with the threshing oar
Our only goal will be the western shore.
So now you'd better stop and rebuild all your ruins
For peace and trust can win the day despite of all your losing.

| Proclivities (Paris of the Piedmont) | Posted: May 09, 2013 - 10:33 Great tune - for some reason it always reminded me of "Bali Hai" from South Pacific - just in that main part of the melody melody starts around the 0:41 mark |

| bpkengor (East Coast, USA) | Posted: Jan 09, 2013 - 08:32 kind of jarring transition from Jigsaw to Immigrant Song. Gallows Pole or Kashmir or Ten Years Gone might have been a better Zep followup to Radiohead... |

| PhoenixArtDj (Star Idaho) | Posted: Feb 14, 2012 - 16:02 No songs scream out Led like Immigrant Song. When you look up the definition of Rock n' Roll in the dictionary. There is a pic of Zeppelin from 1973. |

| ziakut (A place with air, water and chocolate.) | Posted: Oct 19, 2011 - 19:27 The older I get, the more I appreciate Led Zeppelin. I'm kinda done with this song. Just so over heard over the years. A band like this that has an infinite amount of good material...I'd love to hear some more lesser heard tunes. Not complainin' just hopin'... |

| rpdevotee | Posted: Jul 08, 2011 - 16:42 Ha! I just saw this song performed LIVE yesterday by Led Zepp!! Seriously!! ...of course it was Led Zepp"again" (the cover band), not the original Led "Zeppelin". However, I must say that I learned a very important lesson...I learned how incredibly bad ass Led Zeppelin was. If some halfway decent cover band can get the biggest crowd response of any band in our free summer concert series here in in San Jose, CA—40 years after the music was made, then how good must have Led Zeppelin really been!? I cannot phathom what it would have been like to see Zepp perform live in their prime! |

Ok, yet another song where the lyrics in my mind were way cooler then the actual lyrics. "On we sweep, with threshing oar, Our only goal will be the Western Shore." - kinda lame for such an awesome song. Besides, they look more like Viking bunnies if you ask me. |
