Well you've heard about love
Givin' sight to the blind
My baby's lovin' cause the sun to shine
She's my sweet little thang
She's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
Yeah I love my baby....Heart and soul
Love like ours won't never grow old
She's my sweet little thang
She's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
Yeah I love my lady
She's long and lean
You mess with her
You'll see a man get mean
She's my sweet little thang
She's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
Well I love my baby
Like the finest wine
Stick with her until the end of time
She's my sweet little thang
She's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
Yeah I love my baby
Heart and soul
Love like ours won't never grow old
She's my sweet little thang
She's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
| unclehud (now 50 feet above the planet in Boston) | Posted: May 30, 2013 - 07:32 Yeah, Stevie Ray and Jimi are so similar it's amazing, although Mr. Vaughn has that unmistakable southwestern Tabasco in his playing style. Mr. Hendrix had something from Mars, and I've not heard that since. |
| d48m02h1918 | Posted: Mar 28, 2013 - 10:55 He really is godlike - In my 42 + years on this-here planet, I have yet to hear more distinct and amazing sounds from the following 3 players: Jeff Beck Jimi Hendrix Stevie Ray Vaughan Do yourself a favor and pick up Stevie Ray's box set (3CD + 1DVD).....it is simply called SRV. Came out in 2000. Amazing!! |
| missquo (Austin, TX) | Posted: Jan 20, 2013 - 13:40 I really needed to hear this right now. Thank you. |

| Misterfixit (Nashville) | Posted: Oct 22, 2012 - 15:42 RIP SRV .. sorry you had to leave us so soon, but we are praying to hear you again up there in the Heavenly Rock Band. N.B.: Can you just imagine what the Heavenly Music Groups will be like? I mean, can you imagine Robert Johnson on 12-string, Jimi on electric, SRV on Lead, Red Callender on slap bass, Keith on Drums ... ? OMG! Take me real soon now Lord! |

| DanO-1 (Sandia Park, New Mexico) | Posted: Jun 17, 2010 - 16:16 Sad to report the beautiful Paolo Soleri is in danger of being demolished due to lack of funds. It would be nice to see someone with some cash save this treasure of the high desert. jimbaca wrote: Has anyone out there ever been to a concert at the Paolo Soleri Theatre? It's located in the magical, mystical foothills of Santa Fe, NM. I saw Stevie there around 1987. Although my ears were ringing for days afterward, it was one of the best concerts I have ever attended, and I have attended many. He did a Hendrix tribute that was pure musical genius. A-frickin-mazing! |

I saw a half-dozen shows there (lived in ABQ '96-'04), but nothing quite like Stevie must have been; wonderful intimate setting for a show like that. |

| underarmor (Austin) | Posted: Jul 17, 2008 - 07:30 Back in the early 90's, a guy I used to work with said he saw Stevie Ray at Antone's here in Austin. My buddy was hanging out after Stevie finished drinking a beer right about closing time. There were about 10 people still milling around. Stevie came out and sat on the edge of the stage, the 10 people pulled up chairs, and he played for half an hour or so. Would have been nice to have one of those seats. |
