Some quality of the singer's voice and song's lyrics seems to raise heart rate and inspire sympathy. :) Also vaguely reminds of Nina Simone, sans piano. Very fine, thank you Radio Paradise.

Janines is still wonderful. Good Karma is now at Natural Cafe, I think. Come back and visit!

Yikes!  That's for sure.....  I hadn't watched it until now.  Definitely NOT the images I had conjured in my mind listening to it.  I still like this song.  It holds a sweet spot for me as one of the songs I first associated hearing on RP (hadn't heard elsewhere) when I first tuned in about 6 years ago.  And I've continued to enjoy it on repeated listens.

Seagulls at the start... trombone and clarinet... and whatever you call that brushy percussion thing... not to mention the smoldering vocal... this song is growing and growing on me.

I didn't really pay much attention to this, but it's been growing on me for a while. RP has already helped me meet Bonomo, God Is An Astronaut and Arcade Fire, and I guess it's time for Koop.

Whenever I hear this I think of the "Everyone Loves Raymond" episodes that were filmed in Italy.  I have no idea why—probably bears no resemblance to the music used (which I did look up but don't remember anyway). But I somehow juxtapose this music with some of the great scenery they shot while filming.
