It is said that Cohen's long-time trusted Manager depleted him of all of his funds.  He needs to build up a new nest-egg for his retirement at such a late stage of his life, the poor guy.  Help him out and buy....

And here i am thinking this is a music station...

If i want to listen to an excruciating slowmo poet i'd be looking elsewhere i guess... or not...

Let's keep Cynaera's wonderful posts alive and on the front page.  Sharon Robinson and Leonard the perfect 10 for me.  Check out Sharon's only solo album.  Real late night chillout music to relax to.

You know, I really don't like most of his stuff, but this caught my ear, and a 5.

Yep, I can see that scene. I'm not sure that yer man ever does 'chirpy'. He's an acquired taste, and thanks to RP I've acquired it and now really appreciate him as a songwriter. If his voice gets any lower it'll be in that subsonic range which induces fear in the listener. It certainly gives me the willies.

Completely agree.  I snuck in a L Cohen song on a playlist that my wife listens to.  She's a Nick Cave fan.  He does a fantastic version of Suzanne.  She was completely blown away.  Had to replay it twice before moving on.

Wow.  Hearing this from the other room, I thought it was Tom Waits at first.  Either way, a fine way to spend the next four minutes.  : )

Live version gets a 10.  For me, LC is the most distinguished poet/singer/song writer of my era.  Many, many others are very notable, but his lyrics and his now older, and better, voice simply put him over the top. Genius.

Was pretty surprised to see this with such a high overall rating. Even my office assistant chimed in unsolicited to say, "this sounds strange but I like it." Afraid all I can muster is a 6. Still, thats 'pretty good' I think.

He does an elegant tone-poem recital of this (rewritten) on his new Live in London release.
