Gee. I wish David had recorder more than this one song his entire recording career.{#Frown} You'd think he'd have recorded "Deliah", or "Mr. Bojangles", or something.

I've got to upload some more Bromberg. Only two songs in the playlist? That's a crime.

Saw David recently, what a great performer.  He really knows how to work a crowd.  Played this, and some nice lady did a bit of a belly dance throughout the aisles of the arena...quite fun.

Johnny Ryall is the bum on my stoop.
I gave him fifty cents to buy some soup.
He knows the time, with the fresh Gucci watch.
He's even more over than my mayor Ed Koch!

David Bromberg is such a talented artist. I just wish he had released more than this one song!

Such random fortuitousness - prior to now only heard this track's opening few bars at the top of Johnny Ryall by the Beastie Boys (also a great track). This is a funky little ditty! and suddenly I'm also getting a few references...

Love it.

I think Mrs Delion's Lament is a better song… but this is one has its charms.

There you go again Bill. So much great Bromberg out there, and you still play only the carny song. Try anything off "How Late'll You Play Till?" Or just play Delia. That is one great David song. But please, a little variety?

Love Bromberg! I saw Bromberg, Hartford, and a handful of otheres at the Philly Folk Fest ~72. The only instruments they used were their hands. If you closed your eyes you'd swear there was a horn section on stage. One of a kind.
