That makes me wonder if there is a version done by a tuba quartet.

I dig this version more and more, it grows from 4 to 6 and that's not the finish.

His guitar doesn't weep at all. George Harrisson would if he heard what has become of his song.

Hit PSD so fast I didn't have time to rate it. Had to come back while Van Morrison was playing to give it the richly deserved 1!

I appreciate the cover, but I don't know of a song that really, really needs a sweet breakdown in the middle of it.  {#Stupid}  7  —>  5

Let me see if I got this right-you spend time listening to a radio station you admittedly don't like, and you take time to write criticisms. Sounds like a fun way to spend the day.{#Beat}

Just saw Jake Shimabukuro at the Music Instrument Museum last night 11/15/2012.  If you EVER have an opportunity to see him THEN DO IT!!!  It was a breathtaking performance.  He is an absolute Master on the instrument.

See if this works… Rodrigo Y Gabriela; it's one of my favs. (Watch to at least the middle, if you think it's tedious at first; also, this isn't the best video of them doing this, but it's the best I could find amidst all the wannabees that dilute YouTube content now.)

You might not like this cover version —  but Harrison probably would. He loved the ukelele. The Concert for George Clapton cover is good too.

I can appreciate it for it's artistic merit, his technical mastery of the instrument, and the love he has for it's sound...  Well, let's just say that while I can appreciate the artistic talents of Oliver Rhys, that does not mean that I want one of his prints hanging in my living room.

This is freakin' awesome - I need to by this.

From AMG: Every so often a musician comes along who completely reimagines the possibilities of a given instrument: Jimi Hendrix on the electric guitar, Bill Monroe on the mandolin, Miles Davis on the trumpet. Jake Shimabukuro has given the ukulele a new respect altogether: unlike the instruments previously mentioned, the uke has always been considered something of a toy, used by vaudeville-type performers to punctuate comic routines. Not anymore, though. What this fourth-generation Japanese-American musician from Hawaii has done is legitimize his chosen instrument, and several albums into his career, he continues to push it forward. Gently Weeps takes its name from the opening track, a cover of George Harrison's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" that emphasizes the song's fluid melody and tender lyricism.
