Hello neighbour!

Sandy Denny has long been a great favourite of mine... 'who knows where the time goes' is on standby for my funeral, though I'll hopefully be around for a while before it gets played! However, just been reading the Clinton Heylin biography and I'm afraid she really comes across as a very insecure person, not terribly likeable, and a drunk... never a good mixture.

Good song, though!

Fotheringay were an offshoot of Fairport, Sandy Denny made the one album and a second was finnished after her death.

While the connection is anything but a straight line, I see one between this nugget of a band and modern soft rockers like Great Lake Swimmers and Shearwater.

Definitely sounds of its early Fleetwood Mac-y Jeff Airplane Fairport Convention period. But it's also timeless. Could've been produced last month.

Excellent playlist juggling again with programming this after Jefferson Airplane. This is exactly why I keep on listening to Radio Paradise and Radio Paradise alone. Seriously, I hardly ever listen to classic radio anymore since I discovered this wonderful online station. Simply awesome.

This is one-album side-project of Fairport Convention, with the same style and same vocalist, S. Denny. The whole album is awesome, in my opinion, it includes some better things than this track.

Maybe because its the year I was born, but I have such an affinity for music from this era. Should have been born in the 50s so I could enjoy it the first time around.

I hope I've aged as well.

Love this song.... reminds me to get out all my old vinyl and play the Fotheringay, Sandy Denny and others from this era. I think this is the definitive version of this song. I like Lightfoot's version but this one is timeless. IMHO.
