Couldn't have said it better- this song fits in to a grove I am feeling right now- chilling by myself, got my good stereo system on...perfect song...

Why do the instrumentals of this song remind me of Steve Winwood?

It's a fine song until his overused, whiney guitar sound comes in.

Fantastic intro! But the vocals don't really do anything for me... maybe he should make this on an instrumental, I would probably prefer it.

Every one in my bit string loves this song.

As for the zeroes, well hey they don't really matter much.

Or do they ???

My favorite DT output (by far), yet I know fans of his that have never heard of it! He's great live; especially collaborating with his bride, Susan.

I really hate it when work interferes with my RP time.

{#Arrowd}  to hippiechick:  Yes!  I've seen them twice and was at first put off by Mr. Trucks' lack of gyrations and whirls and etc that you see with lots of other guitarists, but then I started noticing his smile and concentration, and the low-key way he related to other band members, and realized he's enjoying this as much (or perhaps more) than the demonstrably emotive guitarists.  He finger plucks rather than using a pick, too.

Just love the way he plays, with so much emotion. Funny thing is, he doesn't move a muscle on stage, all the way through the show.

And that is not Derek singing.

It would be difficult for any band to do better. Wonderful gospel-y bluesy sweet-natured piece. And that guitar...

These dudes can PLAY - IMO, best "NEW" band in the past few years! Look up their video with Herbie Hancock playing "Space Captain" on YouTube, Hear/see Derek and Susan Tedeschi singing and playing 125% better than they possibly can, to fly with HH- it's quite moving.

I've always felt Derek was just a bit too rough-hewn on slide.. so not *quite* channeling Duane.  Somehow, he just doesnt' bring the depth of sorrow... but a nice turn for sure!  Who was singing?
