Perhaps my favourite band.

Joe Pernice is a hidden gem. If you enjoyed this I highly recommend anything of theirs.

Nice selection, Bill.

Hadn't heard this before. Would like to hear it again. Reminds me of some of my old 80s music.

Isn't it always "today"?  Good tune - this band always had good album covers too.

When it started up, I thought it was Jesus & Mary Chain - still pretty good, though.

Exactly the same reaction for me... the song I know well, but the artist's name surprised me (i.e. I've never noticed it before, even though I've heard the song many times on RP... or at least enough for it to feel like an old friend).

this song reminds me why I hate regular radio. They would never play this! And it's GOOD!  Instead they play the same crap over and over again.

Saw these guys at the Dogfish Head Brewery in Rehoboth, Delaware a coupla years ago. They were quite good (as was the house made beer--and house made WHISKEY).
As of now--there's only one Pernice in the band (the singer and songwriter), and they had this young kid who played guitar and keyboard and even bass, I think--and he was incredible. Great band, check out their catalog!

This is not my style I guess. This song seems repetative and just Ho-Hum (not even really deserving of that rating IMHO).

Could there be a little sonic callback to VU's "Who Loves the Sun?" during the chorus?

Know what? I much prefer you to your sister, cat.

That said, I wasn't as struck by this tune as you. It only scored in the pretty good range for me, but perhaps a second listen will change that.

Fabulous artists! Outstanding album.

So, whoever you are . . . your upload made it into the main before mine, huh? Well, at least Pernice Brothers are on the RP map. Kudos!
There weren't any Pernice Brothers listed as having been uploaded when I uploaded mine. Didn't know the new 3 from a single artist = instant reject rule when I first tried. Later, I went back and tried again.

Check the LRC for more and give a listen.
