I thought this was Traffic and Steve Winwood.

I was playing some mad air piano at my dining room table.

I appreciate the musicianship and fast fingers, but I still wish it would just end.

"Compared to What" would be a nice add... turn a few heads and not have to listen to the Stevie Winwood comparisons... also does a very good "Inner City Blues" which, being the first version of that song I heard, is still my favorite.  Reason for edit: I like Stevie Winwood and didn't mean to imply anything—I just think that Brian needs to be recognized for his own unique and much less-known style.

Don't think I've heard this before - and it's pretty cool.  Not quite sure how I feel about the vocals, but I do dig the piano.

The release date for this was 1972, Bill.

And thanks for adding it to the playlist. I know it is not to everyone's taste, but those of us who like it, really like it.

Ali and I got to see Brian Auger at a local club a couple of years ago. For $5,! When shows in other nearby cities were $20 a ticket.

Best show I have seen in years. Wow. He is still amazing on that B3.

Wow, I saw him live when I was 16 (that was in 1969 I think!). Long long time ago ... That was "Brian Auger and the Trinity" with Julie Driscoll if I remember correctly. Apparently he's still crazy on his keyboard, but it doesn't quite sound OK today.

Brian Auger is still touring. His daughter and son are in his band now. The daughter sings, the son on the drums.

Saw them at a local music club last summer.

Great show.

I had the same impression. You get the feeling that not everybody is playing in the same key. Can't say I'm anxious to hear it again, even though I do dig extended jam music, especially from the 1970 timeframe (where I imagine this is from).

Ah yes, the late Long John Baldry, who gave Elton John half of his stage name. Great stuff.
