Crow Jane, and Crow Jane, and Crow Jane
Don't you hold your head too high
Someday, baby you know you got to die
I'm gonna buy me a pistol,
Long as I am tall
Shoot Crow Jane just to see her fall
There's a reason I told Crow Jane
Don't you hold your head so high
Someday, baby you know you got to die
You got to lay down, and die
Lay down
Yes, I dug her grave
With a silver spade
Ain't nobody gon' take Crow Jane's place
I wanna dig her grave
With a silver spade
I aint gonna let nobody take her place
There's a reason I told Crow Jane
Don't you hold your head so high
Someday, baby you know you got to die
Crow Jane, Crow Jane
You never missed your water
'Til your well run dry
I didn't missed Crow Jane until the day she died
There's a reason I told Crow Jane
Don't you hold your head so high
Someday, baby you know you got to die
Gonna lay down and die

Before my mind's eye I see lots of "Mogols" in their silly-silly outfit'n'mindset, bottle of beer - head-banging - bullshittin'... enjoying a "Derek Sucks" live-performace! Many of us are waiting for YOUR music to make its debut here on RP. Please send Bill some of your best sample tracks and exhort him to share them with us. Given the paraphrase of the old hippy adage, "those that can, do, those that can't, bitch and moan," we promise to let you down gently. |

Which should be neither white or black, young or old, Delta or European bred, but perhaps some muddied shade of gray born of timelessness and deep-space.. Some musicians have it, some are technically proficient but play completely without it. I have given this one an "8" but I confess that some of Derek Trucks work (including albums and live performance) doesn't do much for me. That's an interesting point, but this isn't an "Alternativ" feed. Perhaps you've tuned into the wrong wavelength. To clarify, you have pointed your browser to a feed programmed by an "old Hippy", who happens to love a lot of really "great 'new' music". Some of us listen for the variety. It could be that MTV is more your style. |
