Kothbiro (rain is coming)
Auma do you hear what I say
The rain is on it's way
Return our cattle home
Yaye the children
What is it that you think you do?
The rain is on it's way
Return our cattle home.

It's absolutely brilliant — sad, joyous, painful, and achingly beautiful, with gorgeous location scenery (in Kenya) and stellar performances from Ralph Fiennes and Rachael Weiss. I agree... that movie came out in 2005— three years before you posted this... seems like a long time ago, now... time flies when we're having fun... sigh... love this music... |

In this song a cattle herder, seeing a storm coming, quietly tells his children to bring in the cows. Thanks for the info. Mind you, he could be singing the telephone directory for all I care, with such a smooth voice. And boy, does he have one shiny bonce! 7 from the entranced Nottingham jury. |

As a hearder of cows, I wonder why he needs to bring the cows in, they're not going to blow away!but I like the song none the less. Having grown up on a farm, I agree. Cows are pretty smart about weather too. They can tell if it's going to be a short shower or a longer storm. If it's short they'll continue grazing, if it'll be more serious, they'll seek cover in the barn or under trees before it starts. |
