Wow... the first time I had to use the PSD button in 12 years of radio paradise. Can't imagine how Part 1 must sound.

These guys. MMJ was formed in 1998 in Louisville, Ohio.

The Black Keys were formed in 2001 in Akron, Ohio.

I suppose I can kinda see why you think the acts are similar but MMJ is more of a psychedelic rock group whereas BK is more of a standard (yet extremely talented) rock or garage rock group.

MMJ joins Radiohead as a band with good musical energy — but also has a lead singer that strangles his singing range and lyrics. Irks my ear a bit. Indeed, on this cut, the singers and bands almost seem interchangeable.

Not their best album, but this is probably the best song on it.

Probably the energetic drumming.. or the catchy guitar, seasoned with a little synthesizer sound and, VOILA!

I picture this song on the stereo while I myself am buzzed and cruzing in a convertible (a la John Travolta in Pulp Fiction). More highway one than L.A, though; perhaps a desert evening just after the sun has set.

although I've never tried heroin....
