NOT a bad comparison!  I rather love Rachael Yamagata's work. I know I've mentioned this in other threads, but I have her double-CD "Elephants...Teeth Sinking Into Heart" and I absolutely love the way she rocks ("Sidedish Friend" and "Accident" always make me drive too fast.)

I typically like upbeat live music concerts.  I didn't go see him play in San Antonio because I thought it would be to mellow/slow.  A friend of mine said 'he really rocked and was very upbeat.'  Go figure.  He has a few songs that I think are really really good toe tappers - this being on of them.
