But seriously, the board should be lively.  People need to speak up more - and speak honestly about how they feel.  Ranting is to be encouraged.  I also like the fights - the more the better.  The dullest posts here are the positive ones.  Most people are afraid to post here honestly and though I loved Cynaera to death and miss her very much, I think if she had her druthers there would be no reason to come to this comment board.  My favorite commenters are the blunt ones like Stingray, Vandal, H8rhater, sirdroseph, and Hannio.  Some of the funniest things I have ever read are right here on this web site.

i would have never thought of it as a wedding song. thanks for broadening my mind a little more.

Very interesting and intense, the version of "Just Breathe" Eddie Vedder/P.Jam song, sung by Willie Nelson, 79 years old,  and his son Lukas Nelson, included in his recent of covers & new songs album "Heroes" in 2012. It is not very common, the artists "veterans" do covers of songs by artists of the younger generation. For that alone, already noteworthy.

I've got a goat in my throat!

Catchy song, but that folksy affected vocal warble is a little hard for me to take.

I realize some people love it, and that's fine for them.  Different strokes and all that.

On the plus side, it makes me think of that Dr. Katz episode about folk music, and that makes me smile. :)

Pearl Jam Marriage Proposal Onstage + Just Breathe

Pearl Jam Marriage Proposal / Just Breathe in Salt Lake City 9/28/2009. Congratulations, Greg and Rachel!

I think E. Vedder to join and share the stage, where he performed, this unprecedented moment with fans or friends, much to the media and the impact that this could be, and shows the human and humble side of this artist. That's what really counts.
Now, I say again, is not necessary to play this song every day ...the station dispenses "fads".

I generally like Pearl Jam tunes....the biggest problem with them is that after I've heard them a few times, I need to put them away and not listen to them for some time before cracking them out again to enjoy them.  I know this happens with many songs and artists, but definitely not all and definitely for me it happens with Pearl Jam more than with others.  Perhaps it's a function of their commercial success and my brain's response to the overplay I remember of most of their songs during my college days?

I don't understand it. I respect their opinions, but oh, to read them...especially when they're aimed at a song I like (this is MY opinion, and I'm not speaking for the masses here) makes me wonder if I'm lacking somehow. Maybe I missed the memo that said "Hate this song - attack this song - attack this artist and everything he/she has ever done." I know I'm not well-educated or well-versed in PearlJam-dom - or any "dom" for that matter. I know what I love. To see such hatred of a song is scary to me.

Maybe I don't belong here. I love the music played here, even if at times I don't understand it and can't embrace it. It's still music, and I'm grateful for it. I fear there will come a time when we won't have music at all, and we'll have to remember all the songs we've heard here - for good or for bad - and call upon them when we'd otherwise have empty air fit only for breathing and not for grabbing wonderful music from out of the everywhere into the here.

Uh, shutting up now.

I'm 50 something and I don't know who GB is.... I had to scroll down to discover that "GB" is Greg Brown. Nope, still don't know who this person is. Get some tact, if you know how. Never assume that everyone is as perfect as you are. A little humility would be a good thing, because you'll need it in the future. Your amazing knowledge of music won't save you if you don't know how to grow potatoes and contribute to the basic human race. If you do know this stuff, tag me. The answer is actually amazingly simple, cause it is fun. Don't overanalyze or let it hinder your enjoyment. I assure you if someone does not like a song that I enjoy, I prefer them to be witty and snarky. I mean, if you are not going to agree with me, at least entertain me!{#Chef}
