Here's the finished drawing of Thom Yorke. I tried to incorporate some of Radiohead's album covers into the piece. I finally fixed my scanner a bit, but it still washed out a lot of the lighter tones on his face. I'll probably tweak a few spots here and there over the week just to add more depth to it, but this is basically the finished product. It's an 11"X14" drawing done with a mechanical pencil and blending stumps on cream colored paper. Approx. 18 hours went into this piece. Thanks for looking!

I am in the lovers part but I don't mind reading the haters comments - most of the time I find them quite appropriate and very funny. I allow myself to have bad taste toward their standards. Which isn't bad taste to me. "Les goûts et les couleurs..."

Saw these boys live in 1997 when OK Computer came out, in a small venue of only a few hundred people.  Absolutely awesome.  Diana had just been killed in a car crash and the set opened with Airbag....  I was probably in the presence of Small Gods.  Sadly, I just find it too difficult to follow their later stuff and they are drifting away from me.  Music shouldn't be that inaccessible and Yorkie is just too scruffy and mad looking.  Sorry boys.

I became more familiar with Radiohead by tuning to RP frequently. I like 'em! However — I did see part of their recent performance at Austin City Limits on the PBS website the other day. The track was Morning Mr. Magpie. And while their music is fascinating and vibrant — I gotta  ask sardonically, is Thom Yorke supposed to be singing or recovering from uranium scorching of his vocal chords? Sorry, but live performance is not hidden by the arsenal of digital studio voodoo that can turn a screeching train car into an American Idol. And some of you here complain about Neil Young and Dylan? Spare me.

Yes, I've long viewed Radiohead as the Pink Floyd of today — mainly in the way that both bands are able to be trippy and experimental while writing some really catchy tunes. And oh, yeah ... there are some fantastic lyrics, too. No big surprise to me that the Easy Dub All Stars' two homage albums are Dub Side of the Moon and Radiodread (both really good albums if you enjoy reggae).

I think Howard Devoto and "Magazine" also had a big influence on Thom, not to mention Devoto looks as if he could be Thom's Dad

Radiohead has an incredible ability to make it clear how much they owe Pink Floyd... without actually sounding like Pink Floyd.

Hah, I didn't realize I had dreamt about this song last night until I heard it now. In the dream it was just me and my wife sitting listening to it like we used to do once in awhile with music; drink wine, smoke cigarettes, listen to cool music and talk. We will again as soon as the kid or kids grow up (minus the wine and cigs). I'll have to buy this song and play it for her.
