Ha-ha - never saw a comment about an anachronism on this website before.
I agree, but sure do love this song.

Nah - I don't think so. My guess is it's someone trying to imitate Peter Lorre (circa Maltese Falcon).

NOVELTY song?!?!?!  Beg pardon, sir, but once upon a time this style was Top 40 popular.  So was Brahms, so I suppose any new music that sounds like a lullaby is a novelty.

Not just you, midigitguy, but all y'all naysayers might want to expand your horizons.

Sheesh.  And I still think it's Johnny Depp's voice.

It has been so long since a song had me snapping my fingers to the beat that I had forgotten how good it feels.  I'd dance but too many pointy objects in my work environment.  Great retro sound!

A fun song — but kind of wears a bit thin after more than a few listenings.

I'd definitely give her entire cd a listen if you like this. The reason there's only one song on RP is because I got it on here through the listeners review channel. {#Good-vibes}

I appreciated this when it came out; thought it was refreshingly retro and jauntily upbeat. Now that I have seen the video, I have to say I like it even more!  It re-creates a world evocative of a Long-Lost Time of Romance, right down to the Blake Edwards-style titles flashed and interspersed with her singing and dancing and having such contagious melodious fun. I think that the whole thing is very artistic and cool. Bravo, Caro!

Good tune for a Friday.  Reminds me of the music in an interesting ad for The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas (music by Parov Stelar.)  Amazing shuffling to that song here:
