Not bad.  Catchy.  I like the drumming.  What is that - double time?

I never really liked Death Cab, but this song is really very nice.

I thought that was Deus at the beginning. I've been a big DCFC fan in the past but this track is new to me.

I suppose 'crap' is subjective. Perhaps more curious is why someone who doesn't like this might be listening to RP in the first place.

A solid 9 for me.

Weird; I get a Morphine 'Top Floor Bottom Buzzer' vibe from the intro.  And then Bill plays Morphine :)

It's the title of a track by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah band from the album Gorilla. See:

There shouldn't be any confusion unless that's what one wants.  It's a sequence: "unlock and open the doors".  Perhaps they cannot be opened until they are unlocked.
Anyhow, it's an interesting discussion - in a nerdy sort of way.

Technically speaking - the locking mechanism is in the door handle, which could be locked or unlocked regardless of whether the door is open or shut.  And, similarly, a door can be either open or shut regardless of whether the handle mechanism is locked or unlocked.  But, as implied by the original post - it doesn't make much difference if the door is locked if it is also already open.

Open means ajar, here. So it's like somebody just left the door completely open. It is a state of mind and quite a vulnerable position to be in.

Next time you walk out a door to the roof of a building or half the doors in my office and can't get back in because the doors are nearly never actually unlocked, we can revisit this question.

My fave song from the album—the driving beat is great. If I listen to the whole album at one go, the singer annoys me by the time I hit song #5.

Timbuk 3 in my memory was a lot more mellow and looser than this...
