Today is the last day of a 30 year teaching career. For the last couple of years, Radio Paradise has been the soundtrack of my classrooms, and I've loved bringing this music into this space. So many times I've looked up and I'll see 16 and 17 year olds nodding their heads or tapping their pencils in rhythm. It's been a beautiful thing. Music is the common denominator and kids love it. Thanks, RP and all listeners for making this a long, strange, and musically beautiful trip. I'll still be listening! {#Wave}

this is the best thing about RP - hearing new music. Never heard of Junip, now added to my wish list.

Wow, cool...me, too...cooped-up and unfocused, till this made me move — kinda knew it must be Jose G strumming and singing, but not which effort or outfit he was with...hey, gosh I really dig this...some truly fantastic stuff; very MOVING...

On first listen this reminds me of something by 'The Tragically Hip'...though I can't remember which song right now.

Excellent song, had to bump it up to an 8. It's not on the EP shown, though!  In fact, the only place I can find it is in the bonus tracks for the MP3 version of their full album on Amazon.  Not sure if it's anywhere else.

I haven't noticed the chickens running wild, no.
I did notice that the lyrics were dumb-ass, to say the least. Is this an ode to poultry farmers?
Really. Lovely song ruined by some tongue-in-cheeks writing. Unless I've missed something. Can't miss the chickens. They're running wild.

Thought the band name was Jump at first read.
But heard the distinctive voice of Jose and instantly thought hhmmmmm.

Sounds familiar.  I think the vocals and instruments are fragments of some other mildly successful indie band from a couple years ago.  Can't put my ear on who it is.
