It escaped your attention, a single moment
Now you're running down wrong tracks
Left a notice on the pavement
Don't think you'll be ever coming back
Haven't you noticed
All the chickens are running wild
Have your lotus ready
We're bringing out the chimes
It escaped your attention, that single moment
While you were out changing lanes
Left a notice on the pavement
Don't think you'll be ever coming back
Haven't you noticed
All the chickens are running wild
Have your lotus ready
We're bringing out the chimes
Haven't you noticed
all the soldiers are running mad
Have your lotus ready
We're bringing out the chimes
Hey we're bringing out the chimes
Now you're running down wrong tracks
Left a notice on the pavement
Don't think you'll be ever coming back
Haven't you noticed
All the chickens are running wild
Have your lotus ready
We're bringing out the chimes
It escaped your attention, that single moment
While you were out changing lanes
Left a notice on the pavement
Don't think you'll be ever coming back
Haven't you noticed
All the chickens are running wild
Have your lotus ready
We're bringing out the chimes
Haven't you noticed
all the soldiers are running mad
Have your lotus ready
We're bringing out the chimes
Hey we're bringing out the chimes
| d-don (Oregon) | Posted: Jun 13, 2013 - 11:10 Today is the last day of a 30 year teaching career. For the last couple of years, Radio Paradise has been the soundtrack of my classrooms, and I've loved bringing this music into this space. So many times I've looked up and I'll see 16 and 17 year olds nodding their heads or tapping their pencils in rhythm. It's been a beautiful thing. Music is the common denominator and kids love it. Thanks, RP and all listeners for making this a long, strange, and musically beautiful trip. I'll still be listening! |
| black321 (A sunset in the desert) | Posted: Jun 13, 2013 - 11:04 Cool strumming and vocal stylings. |

| zenhead (Maine) | Posted: May 22, 2013 - 07:20 this is the best thing about RP - hearing new music. Never heard of Junip, now added to my wish list. |

| jt1 | Posted: Dec 12, 2012 - 13:07 On first listen this reminds me of something by 'The Tragically Hip'...though I can't remember which song right now. Nice. |

| rlr511 (Philadelphia) | Posted: Dec 12, 2012 - 13:06 sounds a little like the Tragically Hip, but less complex than their music |
| Grammarcop (Part of the 47% who won't vote for Mitt Romney) | Posted: Oct 01, 2012 - 09:36 Good song. I hope it gets nominated for the Pouletzer Prize. |
| zair99 (In Cognito) | Posted: Sep 03, 2012 - 13:50 Excellent song, had to bump it up to an 8. It's not on the EP shown, though! In fact, the only place I can find it is in the bonus tracks for the MP3 version of their full album on Amazon. Not sure if it's anywhere else. http://www.amazon.com/Fields-Digital-Booklet/dp/B0040T5G9C/ref=ntt_mus_dp_dpt_1 |
| michaelgmitchell (Stirling, ON) | Posted: Aug 30, 2012 - 20:54 I haven't noticed the chickens running wild, no. I did notice that the lyrics were dumb-ass, to say the least. Is this an ode to poultry farmers? Really. Lovely song ruined by some tongue-in-cheeks writing. Unless I've missed something. Can't miss the chickens. They're running wild. |
| parnoldo (St. Louis, Mo.) | Posted: Aug 27, 2012 - 07:30 Nice. |

| Alpine (N39d39mW121d30m) | Posted: Mar 27, 2012 - 20:12 Sounds familiar. I think the vocals and instruments are fragments of some other mildly successful indie band from a couple years ago. Can't put my ear on who it is. |

| grudy | Posted: Mar 10, 2012 - 16:19 I saw Junip play from the 2nd row in a small club. It was so amazing. Just awesome. This is a good song. |
