Oh I beg you, Can I follow?
Oh I ask you, Why not always?
Be the ocean where I unravel,
Be my only, be the water where I'm wading.
You're my river running high,
Run deep run wild.
I, I follow, I follow you,
Deep sea baby, I follow you.
I, I follow, I follow you,
Don't come honey, I follow you.
He a message, I'm the runner.
He the rebel, I'm the daughter waiting for you.
You're my river running high,
Run deep run wild.
I, I follow, I follow you,
Deep sea baby, I follow you.
I, I follow, I follow you,
Don't Come honey, I follow you.
You're my river running high,
Run deep run wild.
I, I follow, I follow you,
Deep sea baby, I follow you.
I, I follow, I follow you,
Don't come honey, I follow you.
I, I follow, I follow you,
Deep sea baby, I follow you.
I, I follow, I follow you,
Don't come honey, I follow you.
| zitherica (Rijeka, Croatia) | Posted: Nov 13, 2012 - 02:15 Triggerfinger's cover is just soooo... better. And they arranged it in like 15 minutes. |
| bh1 | Posted: Nov 13, 2012 - 02:14 Make it go away. |

| anjo (Geneva, Switzerland) | Posted: Oct 05, 2012 - 01:05 I find RP should have a upper limit of 5 times a song passes during the last 30 days... This song is not bad, but quite tired of listening to it. |

| bh1 | Posted: Sep 24, 2012 - 21:47 Every once and awhile a song which is basically OK becomes memorable for being truly butchered. Looks like this is one of those times. About the only way I can imagine this song being treatd worse would be a rap version. |

I failed. So we drank a bottle of wine and ended up using the directions for using his keyboard in Spanish instead as neither of us understand Spanish. Then along comes a song which doesn't even try to rhyme: Oh I beg you, can I follow Oh I ask you, why not always Be the ocean, where I unravel Be my only, be the water and I'm wading or even make sense. So she's the rebel's daughter and she's waiting for, what? an ocean? Because her rebel father sent her? I mean, what?) ... dark boom baby Anyone got a razorblade? PLEASE CHOOSE MINE!!! Paul Simon says he writes lyrics using combinations of words chosen to sound nice together and jibe with the rhythm, regardless of their meaning. He was addressing a specific question about the deep inner meaning of his line "The cross is in the ballpark..." It works for him, it might work for you! Or we could go back to stealing pick-a-nick baskets in Jellystone Park— you be BooBoo this time, |
| bh1 | Posted: Sep 03, 2012 - 12:10 Sorry, this is not working for me at all. It sounds like Japanese karaoke. Sort of too "hyper", almost annoying. Triggerfinger's version is much better, more melodic and better paced. The song itself is something of an elevator music tune, but I'd rather ride in the car with Triggerfinger playing. |

| Frater_Kork (Uppsala, Sweden) | Posted: Aug 28, 2012 - 07:49 "Deep sea baby" reminds me of the rather splendid movie Dagon, should have been a great end tune. |

| milipili (by the Black Sea) | Posted: Aug 24, 2012 - 09:48 I've heard so many remixes and covers that the original actually sounds fresh now —7— ps: Triggerfinger's version is really doing it for me too. |

| Sloggydog (UK) | Posted: Aug 03, 2012 - 01:13 In 2 minds on this. I think there is something good here but unlike many others think the sound effects fail to blend into the song and I just have an underlying nagging doubt about any song that feels like it spent this long in production. Think I'll vote on the second listen. |
| Nuance (Winnipeg) | Posted: Jul 25, 2012 - 18:39 Gotta say I like both versions very much. I'm able to accept both as art. Completely different songs IMHO and well done either way. |
