| natural_tools (Dallas, TX) | Posted: Feb 15, 2008 - 11:47 Does anyone else think that this song could veer into "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" at any moment? |
| Darlington (Columbia, South Carolina) | Posted: Jul 23, 2004 - 13:32 Love REM. Definitely in my top 2-3 alltime list. However, having said that, "Monster" is probably my least favorite REM disc. Still, there are 1-2 songs on there that sort of redeem it for me (to some exten) and this is one of them. |
| rulebritannia (Sussex countryside, England) | Posted: Apr 21, 2004 - 12:00 Not REM at their best. |
| philarktos (Vancouver, BC) | Posted: Feb 20, 2004 - 14:43 Been there done that . Great theme song for a certain mood. I may settle for a cup of coffee myself, but certainly know what I really need. |
| hcg11 (Ann Arbor, MI) | Posted: Jul 09, 2003 - 10:29 I listened to this CD a couple times and sold it right back. |
| missjanuary (kanazawa) | Posted: Apr 08, 2003 - 08:49 really enervating muzak :( |
| fluorophore (Alexandria, VA) | Posted: Mar 30, 2003 - 21:28 I seem to have lost my copy of Monster. Huh. Oh well. |

They haven't sold out, and if one group is incapable of doing that, it is them. Yup, I prefer the earliest R.E.M. material, but I find myself entranced at times when I play "UP" or "New Adventures in Hi-Fi", there is some deeply moving stuff on those albums too, but give me "the Reckoning" anytime... My favourite R.E.M. track of all time... "Rockville" just my opinion... Cheers Jacques Radio Paradise: What Radio Could Have Been. Very well put Jacques! I don't understand folks who seem to feel "betrayed" by an artist's evolution. Wonder if they're the same people who complain when an artist puts out cookie cutter work ... hmmmm. |
