When this started I thought, "Oh yeah!  This song!  I haven't heard this in years!"

At about the midpoint I remembered why.

All very recursive and circular, and in the end just meaningless because by definition anything done in the natural world is by definition natural, including toxic waste dumps. It conflates two meanings of the word 'nature', one 'everyday' and one scientific. Not that you expect a philosophical treatise from song lyrics, but the banality and meaninglessness of the above grated right from the start, then the song kicked in and that was just as bad. An easy Ho-Hum from the Nottingham jury.

..so basically, there's no new tale to tell..i think i get it!..

..dug these guys in the 80s after they emerged out of Bauhaus and continue to..

but before reading you!

PERFECTLY TRUE COMMENT (though more Warhols than Anderson)

though the album is from '87. Mister Taylor Taylor-Taylor was still a boy-scount back then!

a very under rated band for their time...too bad so many dismiss them instead of listening. Yeah, "No New Tail to Tell"  is right ..

A cool tune b/c it expresses their Taoist philosophy that includes Yin and Yang.  So while it may seem simple and obvious to some, consider it is speaking to the chaos you think is going on is really nothing new and to be anticipated - just as much as the blissful moments you love...it's all the same thing really!  Hmmm.........?!  ;-)

I think you may be 'conflating' lyrics with philosophical discourse. Different thang, Freddy.

I love this tune. I woke up with it stuck in my head a while back and I was like, where the frick did that come from? I hadn't heard it in MONTHS. Brainbug notwithstanding, I love this tune.

I love this song, but much better by the Tull. {#Sunny}

A mish mosh of riffs, shamelessly done, and its fun.  I keep almost hearing Pictures of Matchstick Men in there, too.

Give it a 7, for now.

Stop attacking our romeotuma. He's the benign cosmic beautific dreamer who loves all music. I wish we could all find the good in things the way he does.

I'd love to hear this by the original artists, though... Not thrilled with Love and Rockets.
