Lips are turning blue
A kiss that can't renew
I only dream of you
My beautiful
Tiptoe to your room
A starlight in the gloom
I only dream of you
And you never knew
Sing for absolution
I will be singing
And falling from your grace
There's no where left to hide
In no one to confide
The truth burns deep inside
And will never die
Lips are turning blue
A kiss that can't renew
I only dream of you
My beautiful
Sing for absolution
I will be singing
And falling from your grace
Sing for absolution
I will be singing
And falling from your grace
Our wrongs remain unrectified
And our souls
Won't be exhumed

| mandolin (...drifting...) | Posted: Mar 16, 2009 - 09:54 ...the comparisons are inevitable given the striking similarity to thom yorke's vocals in middle-era radiohead, but this is pretty good... |

Perfect! Not only that, basically all musicians are influenced by other musicians in some sort of way, fashion or form. |

| alux (atop the pyramid) | Posted: Dec 11, 2008 - 13:32 Ponderous, derivative, and ultimately tedious. I've known root canals that sound better than this. |

But then again, there are tons of bands here that people gush over that make me want to hack up a hairball. Muse is amusing to me- my opinion. Kind of like Radiohead meets liberace vs. rush meets metallica? whine on haters :P Muse reminds me of a hybrid of Radiohead (guitar effects)/Smashing Pumpkins (riff intensity/drumming)/Rush (fullness of sound despite the fact that there are only three band members.) |

| Gish05 | Posted: Jan 03, 2005 - 14:31 I don't know why Muse is constantly compared to Radiohead. There are more differences than there are similarities. You really should be saying: STOP. USING. THE. SAME. SONG. STRUCTURE. FOR. EVERY. TRACK!!!! They've a very talented and tight band, but there's a reason for it, if you ask me: A lot of their songs follow a very similar pattern. You can say this about countless bands, but Muse has one that is extremely easy to identify and is not very well hidden across their discography. |

| kerouvian (Leuven, Belgium) | Posted: Sep 15, 2004 - 06:02 Agreed that there's some radiohead in here...but it's also true that being a radiohead fun seems to bring with it the fact that one finds influences of radiohead everywhere. anyway, MUSE kind of dissappointed me after their first 2 good cds, pitty |

| shua (Calgary) | Posted: Aug 31, 2004 - 12:10 I don't mind the instrumentation on this one but overall I dislike every Muse track I've ever heard because this guy's whining vocals are irritating to say the least (shudder). |

| Freespirit | Posted: Aug 25, 2004 - 05:37 Went to see Live in december 1999. There was this totally unknown band called Muse opening for them. I have never, ever seen a band nobody knew get the audience so worked up. It was a great concert (And the main act was awesome too :-) |

| Ferris (Norway) | Posted: Jul 26, 2004 - 04:33 Saw them live at the Roskilde festival. A tremendous concert! Both the band and the crowd were fantastic. As for being off key, well, he might be wailing, but he's not off key. I find the desperate melancholic tone really fits in with the instruments. You should hear when he gets behind the piano : ) |
| Sobient | Posted: Jul 26, 2004 - 04:25 there's no "Starsailor"-connection here. Listen to "Muse - Bliss" and listen your arguments go down the drain! In You Face yes? :D heheh |

Yes, Endlessly which will probably also get similar reactions to those below! - ie you either love it or you hate it. No matter, there's plenty music that I love and just as much that I hate on RP. It'd be a dull world if we all liked the same music - thanks to Bill G we can say what we think. I'm pleased you're in the former category though! I haven't uploaded any others, but I think I've seen some other Muse tracks in the LRC, so they might make it through. |
