Nah, this is straight out of Vangelis' score for Blade Runner, especially the slower bits with the drum machine dialled down a bit. radioparadisehead wrote: Is this in a movie? It reminds me of the death scene in Gladiator? Err, Blade Runner perhaps? Or is it just me? |

| kingart (Brooklyn NY) | Posted: May 21, 2012 - 12:23 Evocative and upbeat. Great chill, dance and driving music. But I couldn't distinguish them from a hybrid of Tangerine Dream, Afro Celt, movie music, and such. If music like this is going to be heard on RP, bring in the big guns like Jean-Michel Jarre—Oxygene, Chronologie, Magnetic Fields, Zoolookologie, Equinoxe, Rendezvous, and others more recent. He helped to invent electronica/techno/trance, and long after he began 30+ years ago, his CDs still tower above a lot of the genre. |

| ziggytrix (Dallas, TX) | Posted: Jul 10, 2011 - 08:29 This is a nice bit of bubblegum electronica, but if you want something truly great dig back into their catalog and listen to Are We Here? or Nothing Left Parts 1 & 2 (both featuring the lovely vocals of Ms. Alison Goldfrapp). Also strongly recommended - everything from the album Insides. For their older stuff Lush, Halcyon, and Impact (and the billion remixes of each) are some of the best tunes early techno and acid house has to offer. |

Blows this out of the water... I found it on a Y4K album from Hybrid. This was that "one song" I wanted to spin for New Years, out of the whole set... get the remix! I'm listening to that version and: You are correct, bkrontz. The Stereo 8 remix blows this version out of the water! I will upload it to RP & see if Bill & Rebecca like it. The only problem is: It sounds a bit dance-tastic, which is not really RP's style. I found it on GrooveShark by searching for "stereo 8" and it came up at the top under "One Perfect Sunrise (Stereo 8 Remix)" recorded under the title Hybrid Present Y4K as track 12 thusly: Orbital Feat. Lisa Gerrard - "One Perfect Sunrise (Stereo 8 Mix)" - 6:39 I found the artwork for that recording at this address: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_Present_Y4K Enjoy! |

Generally speaking, trance = synths. |
