This is what bands like Porcupine Tree emulate, but will never be able to replicate.

This is one of the albums that makes me thankful for RP.  I was just a bit too young to get this when it came out, but after hearing this song I bought the album.  It's become one of my absolute all-time favorites.

I love Mark Hollis' voice! This is such a beautiful song too.

P.S. I bought the album - it is lush and wonderful sounding. Thanks Bill!

That was The The, happens a lot that people mix them up. Both were great (definitely better than Mister Mister or Duran Duran), but very different.

As an added bonus I just found out a good friend of mine is a good friend of Matt Johnson the lead singer. With a bit of luck I will be able to engineer a meet up, but it appears he is as mad as a fish.

Back in the day the 'Record People' weren't too happy with this effort
after the commercial success of the Talk Talk & Life's What you make it record.
But the band stuck to their guns & said this is what we're writing & releasing.
Good on them.

It sure is different to see Stingray say something nice about a song. If i understand his sentiment correctly, i think i agree (although that freaks me out a bit) {#Eyes}
