You are right. . . a kind of whimsical, piffy paffy, bland ditty that does nothing and goes nowhere. Sums them up perfectly.

OK, sorry to Wilco fans, I just needed to get that off my chest.

This song just oozes atmosphere and perfectly fits the title IMO... sunny and careless on the surface (summer), but with quite a dark undercurrent (teeth).

Jeff Airplane Wilco segue. Kinda rolls off the tongue but it doesn't seem to mean anything.

That's art. And that is why they are special.

I ask myself the same question every time I hear them. I do like this tune, but it's not so incredibly more special than any other band or tune.

I like this tune more than most Wilco tunes. You really can't have a shitty voice and sing out of key unless you're in Wilco. Then it's hip and cool!! Nobody does it better than this band. For this, I like them. Especially Jeff Tweedy.

har har...I'll admit, I have thought of him fitting into this song: his damning dreams of negativity don't seem to mean anything. Maybe a cause for his fading from us?

Hey, Wilco: it's been 10+ years.   I respect/admire your sonic shapes and shifts.  Please give twisted 60s bubblegum pop another shot.
