I don't know if anyone's going too far per say - the singer may have some speech difficulties, but getting beyond that, the voice is very pretty and the phrasing and passion is excellent. I applaud anyone who doesn't let any boundaries get in their way.

I'm usually pretty tolerant of singers taking liberty with pronunciation or maybe worrying more about staying with the tune than enunciating something comprehensible, but this one's going just a little too far. The tune is nice though.
