One instance on an ablum is OK with me, but put it in two songs (e.g. See The World) and I suspect the creative juices were running thin.

I'll be glad when/if they get back to producing their own material. Their move to ATO records (Dave Matthews' label), and current promotions, seem a deliberate effort to crack the US popular market.

Bring It On is great, but hard to say that In Our Gun "pales in comparison."

You should have heard the demo, the chorus was:

But now you can not help but sha la la la along!!!

You should have heard the demo, the chorus was:

Something, something, something woman.
Something, something, something man.

So the sha la las are an improvement

My least favorite Gomez song. Actually, the only one I don't like.

gomez is the name of the whole band, not just one person.

funny tho, that "doing a gomez" has become a music industry catch-phrase for producing an album so wildly popular and universally acclaimed (eg Bring It On) that any follow-up endeavors pale in comparison.

As am I. I bought this the day it came out to show my Gomez fascination, and it is simply not up to snuff with their other albums. In your gun is a much, much better album. This disappoints.

Someone else must have rated it also at that point. The average rating is indeed an exact average (rounded to the nearest tenth).
