This kind of got on my tits for a bit, Bill seemed to be playing it way too much, but now I'm OK with it again. It's a clever tune, really.

I can see why they quickly followed this album with "The King is Dead"... They were becoming Yes really fast.

It's SIX songs... Just stitched together on this wonderful radio channel. Loving every second of it.

Sorry Pachelbel, you got booted off the list.

Bill, I liked your medley so much I got the CD and joined the first 6 tracks using iTunes while ripping for playback on my iDevices.  it's great!  There is also a cool program called Merge MP3 that I plan to use to merge a few of my favorite tracks that go together like peanut & jelly.

I LOVE this. I had somehow missed this album—of course, I heard a song here and song there, but having them altogether is spectacular. After I first heard this set on RP, I got the album and listened to it all the way through about 30 times in a few weeks.

Best they never listen to a Pink Floyd album all the way through...

As a pre-teen who watched the internet form, and PC's  go from monochromatic to color, I straddle both worlds of extended play LP's and MP3's...just the other day someone younger than me said the same as I "I miss the early Napster."  I would add that I miss open file directories in the residence halls on campus!  With nearly 8,000 on campus residents, it was copy whatever you wanted.

Some of us have the patience...I comment nearly every time I download a 6+ minute mp3 for $.89-$1.29...It's like 2 for 1 {#Angel}

On a related note, this is an instance where the per-track sales & distribution model really falls apart. Even if you buy the whole album via iTunes or Amazon, you're left with a grossly substandard listening experience, since the album can't flow together nicely like it's supposed to. Lame.

I like the song, but wish it was a little shorter.  If I was there watching them in concert, yes, this would be great, but I'm not.  I am sitting here in front of my computer and zoned out for a while only to come back to life and realize this song was still playing.

I'd rather listen on a telly than on Bose speakers, however, my hand built valve amp and hand built tapered quarter wave pipes make this sound quite nice and probably cost less than your Bose setup :)   /end pompus comment.

Don't like to seem like an elitist, but you started it.  Those of us in the Hi Fi industry consider Bose to be a four letter word, literally and figuratively...

As a non-Hi Fi industry person but one who's still a wannabe audiophile, I second this comment.  My car came equipped with a factory Premium Bose system and it was terrible.  When I ripped the speakers out I found cheap paper cones that looked like something that would have been found in a Yugo.  To add insult to injury, most of the audio tuning is done with a factory preset inside the amp, and there is no way to tune the boosted mid-bass out.  So now, I have high end Boston Acoustics speakers getting pushed by the Bose factory amp and the car sounds no better.  When I get the time$ I'm going to replace the amp, but I have to pretty much rewire the entire car...

Never again will I buy a car with any premium audio system unless I'm in love with it at first listen.  Changing out that crap is a killer.

I am so used to hearing this at home or in my car that hearing it on the office radio threw me for a loop. I love this album, but it's one of those works that you need to hear in its entirety to get the full impact (versus listening to the songs out of context). Thanks, Bill!

Not a huge of the Decemberists but this is impressive
most popular music is confined to 3 minutes or less, so I think that when the artist can put together a coherent /cohesive work that is longer than that it should be encouraged
